Life gets chaotic, and we needed a place to take our family for a week away. If you want five-star accommodations or are looking for a place to have a loud party, please keep looking. If, though, you want to be "up north" in a quiet setting on a beautiful lake that's several steps up from camper-camping, just stop and make your reservation now. This house is right on the lake giving easy access to sandy bottom, shallow, clear water perfect for kayaking, swimming, or watching the multitude of ducks swimming right past. This is a QUIET neighborhood, so please don't stay here if you want to have a loud party. The neighbors have lived in the area for generations and are friendly. This is a cottage, not a 5-star hotel, so water pressure can be spotty and there's only one window unit air conditioner, but we all had hot showers, and there's plenty of shade and breeze to make even the muggiest day comfortable. Beds were comfortable, washer & dryer worked well, and kitchen has the basic supplies needed. It's a 10-minute or so drive to the downtown, and they've got a decent grocery store & some cute shops for women (Tricia's has a nice variety of things AND has really great sandwiches & wraps) and there's a hunting/fishing shop for guys. The provided chaise lounge chairs by the water are comfortable, there's plenty of flat grass area for kids to run around, the two kayaks included were much-appreciated by me, and there's a picnic table & bonfire pit that were ready to be used. Internet is spotty but if you've got Verizon like we do you should have access. We would love to come back!!
