Step inside, and you’ll find a classic, thoughtfully appointed space with a fully equipped kitchen, featuring granite benchtops, European appliances, and a gas cooktop. The kitchen flows seamlessly into the open-plan living area, where a solid wood dining table seats eight, and a cosy lounge invites you to unwind. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors flood the room with natural light, leading out to a sheltered patio that offers breathtaking views and connects to a large grassy area, ideal for outdoor enjoyment.
Cootapatamba Chalet comes equipped for year-round comfort with air conditioning, gas heating, an open fire for chilly evenings, and even a private sauna—perfect for soothing sore muscles after a day on the slopes or trails. With eco-friendly solar power, you can enjoy the serenity of this alpine retreat with minimal environmental impact. The main bathroom boasts a jetted bathtub, and a separate drying room is available to keep your gear ready for the next adventure.
For entertainment, the chalet is equipped with a large television, Apple TV, Satellite TV, Bluetooth music streaming, and a DVD player. You’ll also have access to free Wi-Fi, a laundry with washer and dryer, and a gas BBQ on the patio. With double glazing and central heating throughout, the chalet stays cosy year-round.
Parking is a breeze with a lock-up garage and an additional spot right outside the property.
The name Cootapatamba—meaning “The icy waters where the eagle swoops to drink”—is inspired by Australia's highest lake, located near Mount Kosciuszko. This unique connection to the area’s natural beauty makes the chalet an even more special base for your stay.
For larger groups, the property can be connected to the neighbouring Narrawallee via an internal door, creating a four-bedroom plus loft chalet. This option offers excellent privacy and flexibility for two families or a bigger gathering.
