Plenty of space. Pleasant outlook over the garden. Close to the beach and main street of Cowes. Large, quaint, well appointed rooms, though some of the furniture is quite old.
Main problem for us was there was a faint musty smell in the room. This became increasingly noticeable during the night, especially as we could not ventilate the room because there are no fly screens (the air con works, but is located above the bed and is noisy). We woke at 3am and couldn't get back to sleep because of the smell. By morning we both had mild respiratory issues. Fortunately these cleared with a walk along the beach. Though we were booked in for two nights, we left after one and wrote off the cost of the second rather than endure another night.
