"The property is just beautiful, in such a quiet area with we loved but only 5 mins from the local amenities. Has all the facilities we could have wanted and needed, even down to family games for the wetter days. Kids loved the pool and play area too! The stay was perfect for us all! "

Il y a beaucoup de choses à voir et à visiter à seulement quelques kilomètres ! La maison est très agréable et il ne manque absolument rien ! "Le Soutenac is a generous and comfortable place to enjoy rural French life. The description of the house was very accurate and there were no hidden surprises! The kitchen is large and well-equipped, there are many places to sit, eat, drink or relax. The boulangerie was shut for the first half of our stay but Neuvic is an easy cycle away (I guess even Mme Boulanger needs a holiday!)"

"The rural setting was perfect - so peaceful - just what we needed. A soaring buzzard and a few tiny lizards in the garden were the only regular visitors 😂!! We loved the house and it was very well equipped, especially in the kitchen with lots of thoughtful touches. The pool is fabulous - a really good size. As it’s not heated, it maybe a tad brisk on cooler days but great as the weather heats up. There were all sorts of games available- including a table tennis table, badminton and a football...

"Karen’s Le Chouettes is a lovely rural property that was perfect for our family. We stayed in the cottage and we found it so well laid out with plenty of privacy for everyone but many common areas to enjoy each others company. We had a few days in April where the kids were able to enjoy the pool. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were of top quality. Plenty of thick towels were also provided. "Took wife, daughter and her friend. It was a long way from the nearest autoroute but a lovely drive through France. It took about 7 hours from Caen (will fly to Bergerac next time) The farmhouse was beautiful, clean and spacious. Comfy beds, well-catered kitchen, good WiFi. Nearby (1k walk) Monpazier had everything we needed, 2 x Boulangerie, v important, lots of bars, especially the Bier de la Bastide. The Michelin Star Edward I hotel and restaurant is worth every penny but don't bring young...

"We (family of 4 with 3.5 yr old and 1.5 yr old) stayed in June 2019. The property is in a great location near to lots of lovely market towns and villages. Setting is incredibly picturesque. Communication with the owner before our stay was excellent - owners were very helpful with practical and local information. We arrived at the property quite late on a Friday evening. Checkin was easy but if you arrive late, pickup food en-route as many of the local shops and restaurants had already closed....

"This is a charming, up to date gite in an ideal location, 3 km from Eymet, a wonderful small village in Dordogne. It is hard to get a sense of just how peaceful the location is from the photos, but we greatly enjoyed our stay. Michael and Donna were great hosts. I only wish we could have stayed longer than the 6 nights we were there. "

"Belle gîte honoured its name: within an old farmhouse this gîte was charmingly set and furbished, with access to beautiful terrace under high roof where we relaxed every night and during daytime as well. The pool is in the back garden with view on vineyards and surrounding area. Hosts Simon and Cheryl are wonderful, around and available if needed, warm and positive attitude. Peaceful area full of vineyards."

"Vraiment un super gîte, nous avons beaucoup apprécié la décoration, des objets de récupération magnifiques, un billard un babyfoot un super bar. Un aménagement et du matériel de qualité. Nous avons été très bien accueilli, la propriétaire est très sympathique et à l'écoute. Nourrir les animaux est un plaisir. Nous reviendrons !"

"Pre de L'aubier is spacious, beautifully furnished and exceptionally well-equipped. The pool and grounds are extremely well-maintained, perfect for family games. Fresh bread and croissants just 2 miles away, brilliant local restaurant walking distance and numerous local night markets to enjoy. Perfect. Our best family holiday ever!"

"The house was beautiful, cozy and spacious and it offers a quiet and private get-away. Anne was very responsive to our enquiries and was quick to resolve any issues. Please note that there is very minimal wifi and bathroom towels are not included but can be provided for at a cost of £10 per towel. We had a lovely time!"

"Basically a nice barn conversion, but furnishing etc felt tired and uncomfortable. Functional and clean. Lacking in creature comforts. Advert had shown a pool, which didn't exist. But it was value for money and a good base to explore the lovely area around Bergerac."

"Tout s'est très bien passé. La maison était assez grande et très propre. Il y a tout le nécessaire pour passer un bon séjour. Pas très loin de Bergerac et dans une belle campagne en compagnie de biches... Le propriétaire est à l'écoute et réactif. On serait prêt à revenir. "

We ate out most of the time but everything appeared to be within the apartment for those who eat in. Furniture a bit jaded, but again for what I paid for it I can't complain. Would definitely return.
