Wonderful place near historic Coulterville
We had wonderful stay at Serenity ranch in historic Coulterville area during Thanksgiving holiday 2023. Cottage was very clean, kitchen was well equipped, beds were very comfortable. It looks even better than in photos, and all compliments to hosts! Best regards from our family.

Peaceful clean quiet
This home was more than enough for us while we visited Yosemite and other places in CA. The freezer was stocked with ice, kitchen was full of dishes, pans, cooking and baking supplies, Keurig maker and cups...we enjoyed eating here and packing food to go for the day. The beds were comfortable and they even had some games in the closet. We highly recommend this place!!!

Great stay for my son's mtb race. Well stocked, very clean, easy to park. Loved the water pressure and hot water after a cold day. Easy drive to lake. Steve was very responsive via text. We enjoyed the colorful western decor.

Fantastic Place to Stay
This place was great! We were in the area for a fishing tournament and decided to book this location. There was plenty of room for 3 boats and the house was very clean and comfortable for our group. The owners were really the best part! They reached out to us to make sure everything was going ok there was inclement weather the weekend we were there and they offered a generator and space heaters in the event of a power outage. This simple call shows so much integrity and care for their guest we will absolutely book this place whenever we visit the area in the future! Thank you for the great experience!!

Cozy and comfortable!
Great location in the foothills of the Sierras, a quick jump to the high country or the nearby lakes. We appreciated the warm and cozy home, with fun, western decor. Lots of rooster and chicken art! The owner was very responsive for a couple minor questions that we had. We appreciated the well stocked, spice, supplies, condiments, and the Keurig coffee pods! They also provided nice soap and shampoo, which is not always the case. Lots of ice available. The grill was clean, easy to use, and had a full tank of propane. The beds were comfortable and it was fun to hang out in the living room, a great backdrop for a weekend trip! Thank you!

Hospitable but a little outdated
The good: the local contact was helpful. The place was well-maintained. The appliances worked and there were plenty of linens and paper goods. Coulterville, 20 minutes or so down the road, was charming, and we especially enjoyed the little museum. The drive anywhere was picturesque. Heat worked pretty well, though the thermostat kept defaulting to 62 in the middle of the night so we woke cold. The bad: there was no garbage disposal, which was sometimes annoying, being very careful to clean the sink trap frequently. The house wasn't quite what we expected from the pictures; it seemed more "prefab" in person and the property just didn't seem as big as expected. The location was not as nice as anticipated; we saw neighbors more than anticipated for what seemed very isolated, and we underestimated the inconvenience of being 50 minutes from a decently-stocked grocery store or pharmacy. (Admittedly that one was on us.) We found the hand-written signs taped all over a bit passive-agressive and annoying. And the decor was more cheesy than expected. I think we would have enjoyed our stay more if we'd been more prepared as to what to expect, which is why I'm being completely honest. Overall we had a good stay, but it wasn't as perfect as we had hoped.

Quaint home in a peaceful location. Had everything we needed and more.
Being that this area is so remote, I felt so lucky to have found this home for rent within just a few miles from where my uncle and his wife and kids live. I stayed here with my father and brother. It was nice that the property was big enough to accommodate our family over for dinner and to hang out on the porch. The toys that were provided were perfect for my young cousins who enjoyed them. There were 4 deer that would come to visit every other day, and that such a nice treat. My brother and I hail from from Orlando, FL and my father from Boston, MA, both large cities. So this rural area was such a peaceful and relaxing break from our usual lives. The only critique I would have is the water temp. I did see the note in the bathroom about the temp and needing to wait for the water to heat up, which we did. But even after the water heats up, the temp constantly fluctuates during the shower. And none of us were taking long showers by any means. So we would have to constantly adjust the knobs to avoid either extremely hot or extremely cold water. My brother called it "playing shower DJ". I noticed a note in the guest book about other guests experience the same issue. For cleanliness I gave a 4 instead of 5 because I noticed the baseboards were dirty. I assume there's a cleaning service hired to reset the rental before the next guests come in, and if that's the case they should be taking care of details like that in my opinion. Overall a wonderful stay and hope to rent again!

Our emotional weekend away
We came up for a memorial service, and it was very nice to walk into a warm and home feeling house. The house served us all well. Having air conditioning in each room was a major bonus for the weekend was a warm one. The kitchen had everything, which made cooking a breeze. Beds were comfy. Wifi was an added bonus. Overall it was a very pleasant experience.

Nice and Quiet Place - Perfect for Family
The place was perfect for my family, the house is nice and clean, really liked the surrounding, enjoyed the peace and quiet. Also not a bad drive to Yosemite. This is a place that is definitely worth staying in again.

Home base for Yosemite
We really enjoyed our stay. The house is spotless, loaded with plenty of towels, paper goods, and extras. Theres a kuerig coffee maker and plenty of different kinds of pods. Soaps and shampoo in the bathroom, even new toothbrushes incase u forget yours. There were cold bottled waters in the frig. We barbequed one night and the grill looked brand new. We also enjoyed watching the wild turkeys. We were glad we bought our food before we got to town. The closest store was Don Pedro Market, its small, expensive and limited. Over all a very nice house, we wouldn’t hesitate to book again!!

Serenity Ranch
Everything went smoothly from this great location. The house was was located between Mariposa and Sonora. We visited Yosemite and the Mariposa Grove. The house was stocked with everything one needed. We appreciated all of the amenities and the quiet, rural location.
