"We stayed here after completing the NC500. It was a staffless check in so key codes provided which was fine, especially when you are tired! Room was well stocked with some breakfast bits and a mini fridge etc. "

"A very beautiful place to stay in the Scottish Highlands. The manager was very kind and took care of us in the middle of the night when we arrived very late. He left all the necessary information and the keys at the front desk, so we could enter the room without any problems. Will recommend this place."

"We loved this place - right opposite the sea and with amazing view of Skye from nearly every window. Friendly village- especially the shop. Loads of parking. House had a nice woodburner, good bathrooms and everything you need in the kitchen. The house was warm and cosy even in a storm. Really lovely get away. Will hope to visit again when the ferry is on and the pub is open (from April onwards I think)"

"Made to feel at home right from check-in. Owner even carried our suitcase up to the room ! While the hotel did not have full catering, breakfast was truly great. Enjoyed dad giving us lots of valuable information on the area, including Skye. Would recommend to anyone,"

"We have travelled and stayed in too many hotels to count. There have so far been 2 that have stood out in our minds as giving excellent service. The Loch Maree has jumped to number one. Duncan who welcomed us, was fantastic. He surpassed any previous number ones! He could not do enough to help and make sure that we were comfortable and had all that we needed. When the Callan, came back from his holiday, he again was lovely, helpful and kind, but Duncan had already taken the top spot. The food was very good. We noticed that some people complained about the lack of choice. It is the end of the season and hotels are closing down, so naturally the choice will be a bit less. Each night there was a couple of different choices, from the night before. Had absolutely no complaint about the food, presentation and flavours."

"After a few issues with the heating (which were resolved by host quickly), we really enjoyed our stay in this traditional cottage. Warm, comfortable, spacious, good views to Skye, host very responsive and helpful."
