In the heart of this medieval town dating from the 13th century, sheltered by the ramparts and the Porte de Soissons, you'll enjoy a green setting and modern comforts.

La Tour prend garde welcomes you in a warm and chic atmosphere.
This superbly renovated space is dedicated to calm and relaxation, and can accommodate families or couples.
4 comfortable bedrooms. Beds ready for your arrival.
Fully equipped kitchen, large living room with fireplace, dining room under the glass roof, room with massage table, 2 bathrooms, 2 WCs, terrace overlooking the watchtower.

- A deposit of 300 euros (non-cashable) is payable directly on site when the keys are handed over.

*Optional charges
- Use of the private SPA Jacuzzi is optional.
-5 nights at 550 euros, 4 nights at 400, 3 nights at 350 and 2 nights at 300.

- Heating costs (if required in winter, for example): 60 euros per week.

Wonderful stay in beautiful house
We had 5 of us staying here for 10 nights. The property itself is a great size, so much room with all the amenities we needed. The garden was private and a great size for large groups. We couldn’t have wanted for better accommodation. It was an idea location for us driving between Reims and Paris for all the things we had organised.

Lovely break in a fabulous house in a peaceful village
We had originally booked to stay here at Christmas but our trip was cancelled due to Covid. We were able to rebook and stayed at end of May. The accommodation was very well appointed and the garden was lovely and secluded. Carole and Arnaud were very welcoming and helpful. All in all we had a lovely relaxing break with our family and dog. We would love to return at Christmas time. Maybe next year.

Amazing French holiday
This property was full of surprises but amazing in every way! There was plenty of room for 9 of us. The garden was beautiful and so peaceful. We wanted a French retreat and that is exactly what we got. The little village was quiet but everyone was friendly. The castle grounds and walls surrounded the house and village which was amazing. I would highly recommend this property for all of its features and its location. It’s a short drive to some of the larger towns. I’d definitely return.

Beautiful, charming cottage, helpful hosts
Had a fantastic time in this cottage. The area is beautiful but quiet, one pizzeria and a bar. Enough though! We went away to get away and it was a perfect location. The house itself was immaculate. The hosts were incredibly helpful and the cottage spotlessly clean. And the photos don’t do the interview justice. It’s stunning! We visited Christmas market nearby on recommendation from Carole and the kids thoroughly enjoyed it We stayed here with two families; 4 adults and 6 children and there was plenty of space. Would definitely stay again. Thank you.

We had a wonderful holiday and the location was perfect.
The property was lovely and catered for all of the needs of my family. The village was extremely scenic and quiet which suited us well. The ability to bring our dog was also a nice bonus. I would recommend the property to others looking for a nice relaxing break.

Delightful!
Carole’s house is delightful. Each room is beautifully decorated and comfortable. The well stocked kitchen allows for the preparation of any meal, the sunroom/ dining room provides plenty of sunlight and a beautiful view of the flower filled garden. Carole is the perfect host, welcoming and helpful. The location is ideal , you are literally surrounded by history. Not far from Pierrefonds, Campiegne, Soissons, Chantilly, Chemins des Dames, Paris... we look forward to returning.

As described and pictures don’t do it justice, it’s amazing
Lovely owners and the property was amazing, the space, the light, decoration and spa... the surrounding areas are so interesting. It was warm and charming and a lovely place to stay. We booked over Christmas and they even put up all the decorations for are arrival. I can’t thank you enough for making are family Christmas get away even more special in your beautiful home. We had such a lovely stay here. The house itself is really beautiful and well equipped. We particularly enjoyed the garden which looks onto the old town wall. The town has everything you'd need and plenty of lovely places to explore in the area.

An idyillic property in a beautiful location.
This property is an absolute gem! The reason for our holiday was a large family get together mostly to commemorate a First World war centenary and also to enjoy French culture. The stunning design not only enhanced, but inspired, our experience. The facilities within were just perfect for all the cooking, catering and celebrating which we love to do together. We had lovely weather and were able to luxuriate in the beautiful garden for most of our time there. We met Carole upon our arrival and she was a most charming person who was very keen to see we had a perfect stay. The village of Coucy-le-Chateau Auffrique is amazing; not least from a historical point of view with its extensive Medieval remains, but also its wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. Our stay here was as complete delight! This property is so good that we would love to return again very soon with some more family members! We certainly recommend it!Thank you Carole and Arnaud!

Great house and location
We spent at week at the property in October 2017. The house is ideal for a relaxing stay. It is well presented with many interesting internal features and tasteful decoration. The garden provides lovely views of the castle walls and surrounding countryside.The kitchen is very well equipped. The house is in an excellent position within a very attractive and interesting village. Parking is easy to find on the road outside the property. The owners were very helpful in responding to any questions. We visited the local restaurant, the Belle Vue, which is a 2 minute walk away and provided good local cuisine. Great location from which to visit some attractive and interesting places - specifically recommend Laon, Noyon, Pierrefrond and Compiegne. Strongly recommend and very good value for money.

Beautifully Modern yet Historical
I cannot stress enough how beautiful and comfortable this house was and how wonderful our hosts were to us. The history behind the surrounding fort was amazing. Our family highly recommends staying here you will not regret it. Very comfortable stay for a group of friends
We enjoyed our stay in spacious accommodation which was modern, comfortable and easy to use. Six people had plenty of room and all the facilities we needed. The house and garden were charming and the owners did their best to help and make us feel at home. The rental matched its enticing photos and the advertised features. It was clean and bright. We would certainly be pleased to return if we come to the area again. A week was not enough to visit all the area's attractions. We visited Soissons and Laon and many smaller places nearby, for historical sites, markets and country walks, but never made it to champagne country. One small addition would have helped; brief notes of domestic information and where the local necessities were; oven instructions, location of bins, shop, boulangerie, etc. with directions in English. We took a little time to find out. But the place made the holiday great fun.

Gîte au top
Le gîte de la Tour en Garde est parfaite pour des retrouvailles entre amis. Le gîte est très bien Equipé et décoré avec soin, le jardin est charmant. Le village est très calme et il est agréable de s’y promener, le parfum des fleurs nous accompagnant tout au long de la ballade dans les ruelles. C’est un parfait point de départ pour aller visiter Laon et Soissons. Bref c’est un gîte à recommander Vivement

Expérience moderne à l'intérieur des fortifications de Coucy le Château près de Soissons.
Maison très bien équipée, plein sud face à la Porte de Soissons. Verrière lumineuse dans la salle à manger, salon avec cheminée et pièce avec Jacuzzi pour 6 personnes complètent cette association de l'histoire et de la modernité. Belle grande cuisine bien équipée pour développer des talents culinaires et un grand jardin clos avec terrasse pour profiter du grand air au soleil. Les chambres sont spacieuses, les salles de bain bien équipées. Voilà pourquoi notre séjour de 8 adultes, 2 enfants et un chien a été magnifique ! Très belle découverte ! Très belle expérience.
