I loved the sunrise/sunset views at this cabin. My husband and I sat out on a near by bench to watch the sunset and I was swoon! The mountains looked incredible. Our kids were able to sled and hike around the area. We also enjoyed the space. Plenty of room and very clean!

Perfect, secluded cabin with beautiful views
My family of 5 just returned from a week long stay and had an amazing time. The cabin was perfect for us with plenty of room to spare! It had all the amenities one would need and then some! The kids loved hanging out downstairs in the game room. The Foosball table was a hit! We went on several hikes that started right outside the backdoor. Lots of land to explore! The views were out of this world. Steve was a great host! He was very responsive and available if we had any questions. The cabin and grounds are beautiful. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway, this is your place!

Look no further!
This was our second time in 5 years to stay here. We take a lot of VRBO vacations and have never stayed at the same place twice-except here. If you’re looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of life, unplug and unwind in God’s creation, this is your place. Stop looking and book it now. The view from the back deck is amazing and will take your breath away. It is worth the price alone. Our first trip there we went to the royal gorge and did a lot of hiking. This time around, we went white water rafting in CotoPaxi, and did some off roading on some amazing ATV trails. But the house and the location is what makes the trip. The owners provide great directions. Follow them exactly and it will take you right to the cabin. You will feel like you are going on a wild goose chase but just trust the directions. That is part of the fun of this place-it is so remote! We are thankful that these owners share their beautiful slice of paradise with the rest of the world!

Beautiful View!
This cabin has a beautiful view and the beds were comfortable. The immediate driveway needs to be addressed a bit with (deep washed out areas) but it’s ok with an SUV. I really liked that they had comfortable seating outside with cushions to enjoy the view. There was plenty of stocked dishes to cook with. The drive to the house is 40 minutes from the main road and is mostly dirt but the drive is pretty. Make sure you bring any groceries or anything you need if you do not want to travel out a lot or drive an hour and a half to the nearest store because you forgot an over the counter med. There is only a small gas station after the 40 minute drive. There is no first aid kit in the house. We were out and about every day and it was fine for us. The town of Salida has plenty of stores to fit your needs. We saw a lot of deer on the way up and some cows. If you like seclusion and need quiet with pretty views, this is the place for you!

Beautiful property with excellent views of the mountains. Peaceful and quiet. House was comfortable. Directions to property were great. Some of the roads were not in the best shape but passable. All wheel drive/4 wheel drive is necessary as the property manager stated. We would absolutely go back!

It was a beautiful view and very secluded. The home was real comfortable, and we enjoyed the stay. We did not like the ride to the home, which took around 45 minutes from main road. If you didn't want to leave it would be perfect. I did not care for the last mile or so it was very scary for me. But we enjoyed the stay. The place had everything you needed.

Absolutely beautiful home and views. We were able to unwind and relax away from everything. Only negative would be the “driveway” to the house. Listing says 4 wheel drive required during winter but the road was completely destroyed due to rain and really you needed a 4 wheel drive year round.

The cabin was beautiful, clean and nicely stocked. Our group loved the amazing views and remoteness. We had three different families and we all highly recommend this location. Comfortable beds, fun games, well stocked kitchen appliances/utensils, very clean all added to a wonderful experience.

Perfect Mountain Get Away
I can’t say enough about the beauty and comfort of this property! We were looking for an opportunity to truly get away and be “off the grid” and that is exactly what we found! However, we still had the ability to check back in when needed. We would definitely love to come back here!

Million dollar view
The property was well suited for our family. Lots of room. We spent much of our time on the balcony just taking in the view. On our drives to and from the property (the drive is long) we saw loads of wildlife. We enjoyed our walks which were filled with wildflowers and gorgeous views. And the large table allowed us to eat our meals together and play games. Great property!

Home away from home, with views that don't quit
A small group of us needed a break from all things 2020 so we set out searching for someplace remote that we could unwind at. From the moment we walked in the door, we knew we had found a special place. The views were by far the one of the highlights of the trip, with mornings, happy hours, and evenings filled with gazing across the hills and up to the peaks when the sun was out, and a bounty of stars stealing the show after dark. The beds were wonderful, the house was serene, well stocked, and extremely quiet. The only thing we weren't quite sure of was where the property ended during our hikes! All in all, couldn't recommend a place to stay more than this one if you're in Colorado and seeking a place away from it all. Hope we can find a time to get back in the future!

Great get away
This place is amazing inside and out. Such a well-designed space for large or small families. We were so comfortable enjoying all the amenities. Starting with the endless views which bring so much serenity and appear different all day long. The furnishings are so homey and the layout comfortable for casual leisure or a touch of home entertainment either by family games, conversation nights or simply chilling catching a quick flick. Maybe it was star gazing listening to the owl or possibly waking up to a small gathering of deer was the clincher as we believe they must be full-time residents knowing their way around the place. This is the ultimate place to get away from city noise and worries of the world. Such a nice relaxing mountain escape.

AMAZING VIEWS
We stayed here for the second time this past weekend. We love it. The views are amazing. The kitchen has everything you need to make delicious meals (except the food 😀). The beds are very comfortable. The drive up the mountain can be tricky but it is totally worth it.

Perfect mountain getaway
We loved staying at this property for a family vacation. The scenery was gorgeous and the views of the night sky were brilliant. We enjoyed spending most of our time on the deck, and felt very comfortable inside as well. The house is off the beaten path with a bit of a drive to the nearest town, but if you come prepared with food, drink, etc. there's really no reason to leave the property. This was especially welcomed during life in the time of COVID-19.

We enjoyed staying up in the mountains and the house and amenities are great. It is a little remote so the drive down to activities was longer than expected. We rafted, ziplined, visited Royal Gorge, ATV tour and Cripple Creek ( mine tour). We had a great vacation.

My family and I went to the cabin to celebrate my brother's birthday. We had a blast! It was such a nice break from reality. The views are breathtaking and the house is gorgeous. We can't stop talking about how great of a time we had!
