Private historical completely renovated cottage with 60 ft dock on Sarasota Bay

The Gray House is a completely renovated historical cottage dating back to the early 1900s, in the historical fishing village of Cortez, Florida. The village was founded in 1865. The house was built on stilts by Mr. Ireland . He sold the house to Grey Fulford in 1933. Grey moved the house on to land.
He married Priscila Pringle and lived there until 1983.
The cottage has original hardwood floors, marble counter tops ,and beautiful views. The cottage has a king bed, pull out couch in the second bedroom , dish washer, built in refrigerator, gas stove, large microwave, grill, table and chairs on the back deck. The bath is spacious with a walk in double shower. There are 2 TVs with internet stations and apple tv.
The house is located on a 20000 square foot lot with a 60 foot dock on Sarasota Bay. There is a deep water slip( for rent but costs extra,35$/night). Kayaks are available on the premises with fishing gear and beach equipment..
The cottage has plenty of parking and is landscaped with indigenous plants only.
This is a perfect place to getaway and safely, relax.
The cottage is dog friendly but sorry no cats or birds .

A beautiful stay on the water in quaint Cortez
We loved staying here. The views from the home and dock are unbeatable and the home has all the amenities you need to cook/bbq. We used the kayak and enjoyed checking our local restaurants. Convenient location to AMI too!

We absolutely loved the house, property, and community. The house is very beautifully renovated and has very high quality amenities. So nice to be right on the Bay, spent lots of time bird watching and just relaxing. The house really encourages you to kick back and relax. I've been going to Cortez Village for years to go to the Starfish Company so highly recommend supporting this great local business. Make sure to go to their fish market for delicious fresh local fish to cook on the grill at the house. Host was very responsive and flexible. Amazing experience! We will definitely be back!

We had a quick visit to see family. This home is beautiful, comfortable, and well appointed. The covered porch was great for watching wildlife and the boats go by, and it is close to everything we needed.

This is a fantastic house with everything you need, including peace and quiet. The private dock is perfect to unwind on. Cortez is a quiet community with great restaurants in your neighborhood. Starfish grill is a must eat at place.
