Serene Seashell BH508 is located on the 3rd floor, with no elevator access. It offers an open-concept living area provides enough space for your family to sit & relax together. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you will need to cook your catch of the day. The primary bedroom has a Queen size bed and the second bedroom two twins, both bedrooms have their own bath. Oh! Did we mention the sunrises are amazing! Nestled in the golden dunes of Mustang Island, Beachhead condos all have awesome gulf views. The complex amenities include a heated swimming pool, community charcoal grills, community game room, a playground, and a private boardwalk to the beach. All units have private balconies to enjoy gulf views and breezes. Pets are not permitted in this unit and smoking is allowed outside only.
Per HOA: Before traveling to Port Aransas/Beachhead Condos, please plan the correct number of vehicles you drive in accordance to the rules below. Properly planning the correct number of vehicles prior to your departure will enhance your vacation experience:
Beachhead Condos allows parking for 2 vehicles maximum. Golf carts do count as vehicles. Violators will be towed by the HOA STR#192410

The location is the best, probably around 200 yards and you’re standing in the Gulf of Mexico. The other big plus is the giant swimming pool. The Condos are clean and sleep 6

Decent place to stay. Right on the beach. Wish you didn’t have to pick up the keys at a separate place. Maybe change to keypad entry? A few bugs but that’s expected near the water. Beds weren’t the most comfy but overall the stay was satisfactory. We would stay again.

Reviewer Comments: Well, it was not fun entering our condo and noticing water coming from the ceiling on one of the restroom floors and having maintenance in our room and having to wait/slowdown our plans because of this. So we didn’t use the restroom with the twin beds because of the water coming out for the ceiling making everything wet, maintenance was not able to fix the problem during our stay and placed a huge bucket in the small restroom to collect the water. In addition, we weren’t able to open the door fully because it would get stuck on the floor. The other restroom with the queen bed would get stuck on the floor as well but was able to get it open all the way with some force. The tub in that restroom didn’t drain well, so each of us had to wait to use the shower so we didn’t have to stand in dirty water and the parking was a little tight for a truck. On a positive note, it was clean, good size condo for 4 people and it has a great view with a nice boardwalk to the beach. And every issue we had looks fixable but just didn’t expect these issues.

We called multiple times to get access to wifi and no one got back to us. Dishwasher didn't work so we had to hand wash everything. Garbage disposal didn't work. Light in kitchen worked on and off. The outside patio light never worked. Master bedroom lights needed replacing. I left a complain to management and I never heard anything back. The extra sheets were NOT clean. The location is ideal and the beach access is great.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our fourth stay at Beachhead Condos though Port A Escapes, but the first stay at Serene Seashell 508BH. The service through Port A Escapes was terrific as expected; we received timely updates and instructions, and the app made everything simple. The location of Beachhead Condos in general is tough to beat. Serene Seashell has what has to be one of the very best gulf views in all of Port Aransas. We could see the sunrise, the condos' boardwalk, and nothing but water on about 150 degrees of the horizon. The kitchen is well-appointed, including a giant stock pot with strainer insert for a big seafood boil. The carpeted areas feel like they have memory foam pads. Super comfy. There is a playground for the kids (wear shoes, because there are also stickers!); the pool is heated and has a full swim day of 7 AM until midnight; there is a pool house with foosball, table tennis, air hockey, and a television; and there are plenty of picnic tables strewn across the property, as well as groups of tables in the pool area. My extended family enjoyed the common areas while retreating to our individual condos for quiet time (and, at present, to avoid potential COVID transmission).

Great Location but unit was lacking

Beachhead Condos are right on the coast and an easy walk to the beach. Views from this unit's balcony are great. My wife didn't have to wait on us boys so we could meet her down on the beach when we were ready. Great views from everywhere on the property--especially the pool. The unit was a little disappointing. The areas that were updated seemed to be lower quality but ok. Some areas like parts of the master bath may be original from 1969. The shower drips and the shower head is only about 5 feet high so there was a lot of bending to shower. Bathrooms are small and need more storage options. Lots of closets but no dressers in the bedrooms. No TVs in bedrooms either. No beach equipment or beach towels provided. Pre-check in communications said no bath soap, shampoo, conditioner, or hair dryer is provided (What?). After finding a way to bring that stuff, it was provided (except the hair dryer). Bathroom door handle and door were coming off. Made maintenance request and it was fixed in hours. No digital lock so you have to pick up, drop off, and carry a physical key with you all the time. The parking spot for this unit only fits one car and is tight due to bulkheads from upgrades to other units. Love Beachhead but probably won't return to this specific unit.

The pool was great and the location to the beach was just a walk over the boardwalk. Unfortunately the unit was dirty. The floor was not cleaned and felt like it hadnt been swept, felt sandy. When we got into the queen bed, there was sand in the sheets. Sheets were definitely not changed from the previous guest. We slept on top of the bed with our own blankets. The towels did not smell fresh. Lastly the kitchen faucet had very little water pressure. I guess we just dealt w it bc we were at the beach.
