Welcome to the iconic Double Barr Cottages! Double Barr has been a favorite of Port A visitors for generations and is perfect for a quick beach getaway, a fishing trip, or family fun. Located just a couple of blocks from the beach in the "golf cart zone", you can walk, bike, or take a cart to the beach, fishing, or the many shops, restaurants, and other attractions downtown. The property has ample parking, outdoor dining areas, gas BBQ grills, and a laundry for your convenience.
Cottage 11 (Starboard) is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin with a small living area, a dining table, a full kitchen, and a full bath with walk-in shower.
This beachy cabin has a kitchen equipped with everything you need, including pots, pans, dishes and utensils. The kitchen includes a refrigerator/freezer, gas stove, microwave, toaster, a coffee station, and all of the kitchen basics. While we supply pots, pans, dishes and utensils, we do not supply any reusable basics such a oil, spices, or condiments for safety concerns. Towels for use in the house only, linens, and basic soaps are also provided.
The first bedroom has a queen bed and set of bunk beds. The other bedroom has a queen bed. A smart television and wireless internet are included.
There is parking for two vehicles in front of the cottage. There is overflow parking available for oversize vehicles, boat trailers, or extra vehicles. Please inquire about availability of additional parking.
The cottage has window air-conditioning units and gas heat. Guests can use the outdoor picnic areas and gas BBQ grills. The guest laundry with 4 sets of washer/dryers is available for an additional fee.
Double Barr Cottages is dog-friendly subject to weight and breed limitations. We welcome well-behaved, adult dogs and ask that you clean up after them outside and kennel them if left alone in the cabin for an extended period. There is a pet cleaning fee of $50 per pet per stay. If you plan on bringing a dog, please let us know the weight and breed so we can pre-approve their stay with you.
