"This property was exactly what we were looking for to escape the heat. Less than a 2 hour drive door to door and just shy of 8k feet in elevation. This is probably the highest in elevation you can get within a couple hours of Scottsdale. Unfortunately because of the dry weather there was a fire ban, and the nights were really cold outside without one. The small loop this cabin is on is the last stop on the road before the top of the mountain. The cabin is very well equipped, and they made...

"Everything was great, and I but this is the first time I used a privately owned vacation rental and I didn't receive my email with information needed to get in. We were able to work it out and enjoyed our stay. Nice cabin in a peaceful place."

"The owner never returned our numerous calls. There was an issue with mice and mice feces throughout the cabin. The barbecue grill didn't work and was not clean from previous renters. There was a note left by the owners that implied the oven didn't work but was unclear. We called the owner several times and never got a return call. Would never recommend this place. This was a womens trip and we all made the best of it and thankfully we brought food to snack on that didn't require cooking."
