The studio is decorated with soft wall-to-wall carpets, designer furniture, kitchenette and a large kingsize bed. The apartment was refurbished March 2023.
The Space:
As you walk through the old port entrance, you find yourself in a beautiful historic courtyard. Pause for a second to enjoy what is, in fact, the largest ivy in Northern Europe.
A TOUR OF THE PLACE
From the courtyard, walk up the renovated backstairs half a story to the apartment. You enter into the beautiful and functional kitchenette with fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and Nespresso machine but without a stove. Straight ahead you enter the bedroom that’s decorated with plush wall-to-wall carpets and a large kingsize bed (180x200 cm).
There’s a small desk for any work you need doing during your stay as well as a flatscreen 43" Smart TV with complimentary Netflix. The newly renovated bathroom is large and bright and is fitted with a super relaxing rainfall shower.
The Neighborhood:
Don't be surprised if you happen to run into the Crown Prince couple. Amalienborg Castle is just down the street.
What makes the area unique is the combination of historic charm, lots of things to see and do while remaining surprisingly calm, especially later in the day. Try the water buses, a fun way to get to nearby attractions like the Opera House or Freetown Christiania. The historic Citadel and the Churchill Park is right around the corner.
Getting Around:
Transportation is easy. The closest train station is Østerport station which is a 10 minute walk away. From here you can take direct trains to the airport, Malmø or up the coast.
The Metro station is the fastest and easiest way to get to most areas in Cph - The closest is at Kongens Nytorv which is a also a 10 minute walk away.
Biking is what the danes do, so you can do the same and see the city as a local would. Check every corner, by biking, it's much easier to get around do to the traffic of cars and busses. The closest bike rental is Copenhagen Bicycles in Nyhavn.
