Just east of Mossman is Cooya Beach, there’s not much to do here aside from spearfishing and mud crab hunting!

We highly recommend you take a Kuku Yalanji Cultural Habitat Tour with Brandon Walker. You’ll spend the afternoon learning the traditional ways of the local Aboriginal culture and having a lot of fun doing it. You get to eat what you catch after.

"We stayed here for a family holiday with 9 of us. This house was perfect for everyone to have heaps of space for sleeping, chilling and playing. A beautiful quiet location with a lovely view but close to essentials for food shopping. We opted to cook up over eating out and had everything we needed. "Lovely property with a set up that was perfect for our extended family group. Older couple with daughter, son-in-law and 2 kids, 6 and 3. The kids loved to pool and were in it every day. The location is in a quiet, leafy area just south of the main streets of Port Douglas a short 8 mins. away by car. The photos of the site are exactly as depicted. Plenty of towels and pool towels all provided."

"Liked the private pool and the general one. Also liked the spa. Private pool was a bit dirty with leaves all around. Good to have a BBQ. Did not like that it felt like you had dirt under your feet all the time. All uo a great location though."

"It’s like having your own private resort. Generous sized bedrooms. Separate sleeping quarters and granny flat from the house allows for a retreat from the main living areas. An added bonus, nearly every bedroom has its own bathroom with four bathrooms and five toilets in total - very beneficial for a large group. If considering booking during summer, keep in mind the living area is not air-conditioned and the pool is not covered. Overall, we had a fantastic Christmas getaway. "

"Really lovely property that exceeded our expectations. John was great to deal with and helped accomodate everything that we needed. The location is amazing just hop skip and a jump from the beach. Would highly recommend for a large group / family! "

"The Bahama House is fabulous and we had one of the best family holidays ever. Loved the layout, plenty of room both inside and out for our four families, including 3 grandchildren. The House is located near four mile beach, a kids playground, small shopping centre and a couple of cafes are within walking distance. Only a short drive to the centre of Port Douglas for dinner and lunch, or if you want, you can walk along 4 Mile beach to PD (lovely in the morning or late afternoon). The kids...

"Beautiful apartment complex only a stone's throw from the beach. Lovely reception area with friendly staff on arrival. Easy check in and personally taken to our ground level poolside apartment. Accommodation was very clean and spacious with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. On site tennis court entertained the kids a few times and 2 x pool areas were excellent. Our only criticism would be - jacuzzi not working in the main pool and why not turn the pool lights on of an evening to allow hilidaymakers to use the pergola seating area for evening drinks etc. It was approx 10mins walk to the start of Macrossen St where you will find shops bars and restaurants. Loved the place."

"Such an amazing resort for a great price! The restraunt food & drinks were fantastic and not for a ridiculous price! Dont miss happy hour at the bar where the drinks are super cheap! all of the amenities were great and the staff were extremley hepful giving us tips on places to go and eat and helping us book in activities! Had one of the most relaxing massages at the day spa! Be sure to take a walk to the beach from the resort as its such a quiet beautiful place on the four mile beach - spoke to a local their who said she was suprised we had found this part of the beach! The resort is also in a great location close to everything you need with a 5 minute drive! I think we will definitely be back again, such a relaxing place to be! "
