Traditional work house, renovated to provide a comfortable destination for your vacation, while retaining its own charm, characteristic of the area, with wide walls and wooden ceilings that provide a very pleasant climate.
It has capacity for seven people. Its interior consists of four bedrooms (three single beds and two double beds). Fully equipped kitchen with peninsula, living room and a bathroom.
It has all the comforts, fireplace, plasma TV with satellite antenna, dishwasher, oven, microwave, Wi-Fi connection included in the price.
Its exterior has a covered porch, garden areas, barbecue area and private pool with terrace. It also has a 4-seater outdoor hot tub with water at 35º (The electricity consumption of the jacuzzi included in the price is 12 kWh per day. The excess of this consumption limit should be paid separately).
Located in an exceptional natural environment, in a quiet area and surrounded by typical crops of the area (olive trees, almond trees ...) and fruit trees, ideal for nature lovers.

The house is located 5 km from the town of Cómpeta (3 km are of unpaved lane), Cómpeta is a typical white town of the Axarquía Malaga with great charm, located at the foot of the natural park with a wide range of activities such as hiking trails, horseback riding,. The town also has a wide gastronomic offer. In the summer months, in addition to the traditional festivals of the town, there is usually live music on the terraces of bars and restaurants.
On the other hand it is 10 km from the beach of Torrox. (1.5 km are of unpaved lane). Torrox is considered to be the town with the best climate in Europe with more than 320 sunny days a year.
It is an ideal house to spend a quiet and intimate vacation and just 30 minutes from the beach by car.

Stay at Villa with private pool and jacuzzi in Competa
We had the best of stays at this villa. Hours of unbridled fun were had. We spent so much time in the pool and Jacuzzi. The host came in several times a week to clean the pool. The Villa was as described on VRBO. My family were from all over the world. We had a cousin from Zimbabwe, a son from Poland, and 3 of us from England. Once we got used to the roads, and they took some getting used to; we visited the surrounding areas like Torrox and the beach and beautiful Malaga. This Villa is so beautifully situated, and the sounds of crickets were so relaxing. When something went wrong with the lights, the host was on hand to deal with it and the lights were up and going almost immediately and the wifi was sorted the very next morning. My hubby needed some medication from the pharmacy from Competa and the host was good enough to bring it for us the very next morning. Our stay was the best we have had thus far. I will try to visit again with the rest of my family at some point.

What a Fantastic property!!!
We booked this villa for a family holiday. there was 7 of us in total including my elderly parents. We booked it from the photos that were supplied on the listing. These photos really don't do it any justice!! The setting is fabulous, remote but that is what we wanted however Competa is a 10 minute drive with all amenities including supermarkets and fabulous restaurants. The property is very traditional and gets uninterrupted sun from 8am to 8pm. The pool area is great and was well used during our stay. Our host (Mercedes) was very helpful and attentive to our needs. Our flight got cancelled on the day of departure and communication with her was very reassuring as we had to reschedule our arrival day but nothing was too much trouble. The whole family enjoyed their stay if there was any criticism it would be the lack of Air Conditioning. Our week had unusual high temps (35 degrees) daily which did not drop much during the night. However we understand that this one of those things and it did not affect our experience. We did see previous reviews which mentioned the road to the property. We rented a 9 seater minibus and it coped well with the terrain and we had absolutely no problem driving the route to Competa and Torrox Beach We will definitely be booking again Many thanks Beckham Family

Don't tell nobody!
We just got back from this secret hideaway and all I can say is superb.if you want quietness,a swim,relax in the sun and to end the day in a hot bubbled tub this is the place for you.interesting road to get there but hey who is in a rush,just slow down and enjoy the heat and what this villa offers.10/10

Lovely house to get away
We had a lovely holiday in Competa. The house is a bit isolated but we were looking for a quiet holiday. The swimming pool is great and the house is comfortable and has everything you need. There are nice restaurants in Competa and you can find fabulous beaches between Nerja and La Herradura. If you want to get away from it all this is your holiday home.

A peaceful retreat
A lovely home in a peaceful location. Definitely away from it all. Nicely kept and clean and a friendly owner who does not intrude. As others have said it is accessible via unmade roads of concrete and dirt. For us this added to the charm and remoteness. Còmpeta is a nice town with good eating places and shops and plenty of walking. Doesn't take long to get to the beach. Nice pool and hot tub. Good facilities.

Lovely Villa, Quiet, Clean, Had a great 2 weeks family holiday.
Took the family of 7(5kids) for a 2 week stay at this lovely villa, we all had a great holiday. The pool and jacuzzi are excellent, the wifi is very fast considering villa location- similar to broadband speed in the UK. The kitchen is new with everything you need, all bedrooms were comfortable, just a all round lovely place to stay and relax. Theres a purpose built barbecue which we made good use of, the beach is about 30 minutes drive, you will need a car if staying at this villa, once off the main road the winding dirt road takes 15 minutes drive to reach the villa.

Perfecto para disfrutar y desconectar
Hemos ido un grupo de amigos y hemos disfrutado muchísimo. La casa esta genial, con todas las comodidades que puedes esperar. Una casa aislada de vecinos, lo que te aporta una gran tranquilidad. Muy cerca de Cómpeta, y Nerja y Torrox también quedan cerca por una carretera que los primeros kilómetros, saliendo de la casa. son caminos de tierra, pero sin ningún tipo de problema para el acceso y la conducción, no hay que temer. Muy buen trato y comunicación con las dueñas de la casa.

Wat een fijne tijd hebben wij gehad in de bergen bij Competa. Alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig, alles netjes en schoon. Mercedes was ons aanspreekpunt. Ze reageert snel en is heel vriendelijk. Via een bergweg bereik je het huis. Stukje daarvan is onverhard maar rij rustig en er is niets aan de hand, geniet van de mooie ver gezichten. De bergweg loopt ook langs het huis, doet wat ons betreft niets aan de privacy af. Begroeiing zorgt daarvoor en de afstand ook. ( 4/5 auto s per dag komen er langs) We hebben 1 tip voor de eigenaar: misschien kunt u een map maken met mooie stranden, lekkere restaurants in de buurt, uitstapjes, waar huurders tips voor elkaar kunnen achter laten. Onze tip: strand in nerja bij balkons de Europe. Tip voor diner: la taperia in competa

A corner of paradise in a green setting
We spent a week of enchanting vacation. The house is located 5 km from Competa and is nestled like a treasure in the middle of a preserved and lush nature. The house itself is comfortable, clean and functional with an original decoration that makes you feel directly at home. The kitchen is super-equipped. And then, the pool area is just wonderful to relax without forgetting the jacuzzi for those who like it well. Last little note to thank our hosts for their kindness: Ramon and Ana for driving us from Torrox to the house so that we do not go astray. Ramon for having driven us and waited in Competa, as soon as we arrived, so that we could do our shopping and finally Ana who was kind enough to send back by mail the glasses that my daughter had forgotten in her room. All this, naturally, generously and with a smile. In short, a real happiness.

Heerlijke woning en locatie
Wij zijn hier 3 weken geweest, heerlijk rustig, een mooie woning in een mooie omgeving gelegen in de bergen tussen Torrox en Competa, fijne gastvrouw/ heer die je in Torrox opvangen en naar de woning begeleiden, hier ontbreekt het je aan niets, prima bedden, uitgerust met alles wat je nodig hebt, oven, magnetron, koekast/ diepvries en een heerlijk zwembad. De weg ernaar toe is niet zoals we die in Nederland gewend zijn, maar ik heb slechtere bergwegen meegemaakt in Spanje, prima te rijden met elk soort auto! Je kunt vanaf 3 punten naar de woning, vanaf Competa is de makkelijkste route. Op het terras zijn horgordijnen die je 's avonds dicht kunt doen voor de muggen, in de tijd dat wij er waren hebben we die niet echt nodig gehad. 2x per week wordt het zwembad schoongemaakt (al vroeg, dus niet hinderlijk) Privacy niet 100% doordat er een weg achterlangs loopt, maar hier komt maar sporadisch een auto langs en dan nog is dat niet echt hinderlijk. De jacuzzi staat ingesteld op 35gr. heerlijk tijdens de avond om onder de sterrenhemel van te genieten met een goed glas Spaanse wijn. Naar Torrox ongeveer 20 minuten, Competa 15 minuten en Nerja is binnen 35 minuten bereikbaar. Al met al een heerlijke vakantie, in een rustige en mooie omgeving, zeker voor herhaling vatbaar!

LEER ANTES DE ALQUILAR
Si le tuviese que poner un título a mis vacaciones de 2020 sería sin duda el de alguno de una película de miedo... “Pesadilla en elm street” por ejemplo, pero sin Fredy Kruger rondando por allí, solo nos faltó eso, que apareciera un asesino en serie, que por otro lado no nos hubiese extrañado ya que es lo único que no nos pasó... No se por donde empezar a contar nuestra aventura, y quiero detallarlo todo bien para el que decida ir sepa a lo que se arriesga ya que en la página nadie avisa de ello... Una vez llegamos a Torrox quedamos en un punto con los dueños de la casa para que nos llevasen a ella... y menos mal! Porque si hubiéramos tenido que ir solos creo que hoy a día 6 de agosto aún estábamos dando vueltas para encontrar aquello!!!!! Te montas en el coche tan contento porque ya puedes oler el mar y estás de vacaciones! Un año esperando aquello, imagínate las ganas... entonces empiezas a subir una carretera que en vez de carretera parecía una escalera de caracol con tanta curva que tenía, que cuando bajabas por las mañanas para poder ir a la playa no echabas el desayuno de milagro... pero bueno, lo mejor estaba por llegar porque al fin y al cabo aunque tuviera muchas curvas era una carretera asfaltada... una vez que se terminan las curvas viene lo mejor, te desvías hasta un camino de tierra, con pedruscos del tamaño de la Catedral de Burgos más o menos, y unos baches que que por cada viaje te llevas de regalo 10 contracturas... y esto no es para tomárselo a broma, porque desde que nos metieron en ese caminucho puedo decir que sufrimos por los coches que llevábamos y hasta por nuestras vidas, ya que en el camino no caben dos coches, si te encuentras uno de frente es un gran problema, tanto será que sufrimos por los coches que al día siguiente de estar allí tuvimos que ALQUILAR dos coches! Ya que uno de nuestros coches propios se rompió por el mal estado de camino y tuvo que llevárselo una grúa a Madrid. Dónde avisa esta gente que no todos los coches pueden ir por ese camino?????? Por favor que pongan y bien grande que para ir a ese alojamiento necesitan un todoterreno o en su defecto un helicóptero... por el camino te encuentras muchas casas pero la mala suerte de que esté alojamiento resulta que está casi en el fondo del mar!! Una vez que llegas allí a duras penas claro... te enseñan la casa y aquí viene la siguiente sorpresa... resulta que NO HAY COBERTURA!!!( Sigo en otro comentario)

Friedlich und abgeschieden
Das kleine Landhaus liegt idyllisch und abgeschieden in einem Tal mit einem schilfbewachsenen (ausgetrockneten) Flussbett davor. Das Haus ist geschmackvoll traditionell und trotzdem modern eingerichtet. Wer ein kleines und ruhiges Refugium sucht und trotzdem auf Annehmlichkeiten wie Pool nicht verzichten möchte, ist hier genau richtig, muss allerdings die sehr holperige Anfahrt im Kauf nehmen. Wir sind mit einem Diesel-PKW trotzdem gut klargekommen. Die Vermieter waren nett und hilfsbereit und wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.
