"First impressions of the property was that it was lovely and warm, well appointed, nice decor and very comfortable beds. Due to horrific traffic we arrived considerably later than hoped, Chris and Freya were very accommodating. The kitchen was perfect for self catering, the log burner a treat and loads of hot water, perfect for a soak in the bath after a long days walking in the moor. I cannot fault any aspect of our stay. "We travel to North Devon every year and normally stay in Woolacombe. However, this year we went with another family and this collage was perfect for us all. We did have a hiccup at the start which was completely out of the host's control and Mark was absolutley brilliant in sorting us out. The accommodation is lovely and Mark is very attentive. "We stayed from 25th Aug-1st Sept. The property totally exceeded our expectations which were extremely high. The facilities are second to none, it felt like a home from home but in much more beautiful surroundings. Orchard House is very close to all amenities but secluded for peace and tranquility. There was a lovely offering on arrival in the form of a welcome pack, totally unexpected and a treat. The owners were friendly and chatted to members of my family. I cannot recommend this property...

"Beautiful location in Appledore. View over the estuary to the Atlantic ever changing and soothing as the tides ebbed and flowed. Second time to this magical little town..and will be coming again for sure. Property on seaward side of Irsha Street and like all the others that side of the street it gave straight onto the estuary with dramatic views every day, and wonderful sunsets."

"The property fulfilled all our needs. It was comfy and quiet. Unfortunately on the last night our car, with French registration, was scraped all along the side. Clearly, parking in a public square makes one more vulnerable to such incidents. In every other way the cottage was beautifully positioned close to the church, and not far from the pub and village shop. Although we had cold, grey weather, we enjoyed ourselves very much."

"Really appreciated the ramped access, the lodge is at one level. Suited us well as our son has limited mobility. Co-op just down the lane was great, we went everyday. We had a lot of rain but the terrace seating must be lovely in the summer. We still appreciated the incredible views from there, we just didn’t sit out. There were four of us staying and the living area was very comfortable."
