We were in town for a tournament and this was a great stay. We loved the dog park and the fire pit. Would stay if in the area again.

Family weekend trip
Doc and Carrie were wonderful hosts! They were readily available and prompt in addressing any needs or answering questions. The house and property were immaculate. I would stay again and would recommend to anyone who is planning to visit the Columbus area.

Just what we were looking for!
The property was very clean and had plenty of space for our family of six plus our dog. The neighborhood was nice and it was minutes away from Alum Creek’s beach and campsite. The dog park was a great bonus. The hosts communicated well and were welcoming.

Great place for family trips
This is a wonderful property for families as there are tons of activities on property for kids and adults as well! It is also in a great location to do the numerous activities that Columbus has to offer and is surrounded by great restaurants and shops. I would only put in a word of caution that this property is very close to the owner's house; however, they did do a great job of providing privacy in the rental house as much as possible.

Mad Cat Inn was great
We greatly enjoyed out stay at the Mad Cat Inn. The unit was in great shape and had more than the usual amenities. Doc is one of the best owners I have encountered. Very responsive, cares for the property meticulously, and just a nice person. We all enjoyed it and strongly recommend it.

Nice weekend trip
We enjoyed this property and had a nice family get away visiting the National Museum of the US Air Force, Columbus Zoo and Ohio Caverns. The hosts were excellent communicators providing all the details and many extras. Property is located close to shopping and restaurants. We found the bedrooms very comfy and well appointed. Wonderful amenities including a perfect size hot tub, basketball hoop and more. Thank you!!

Wonderful place
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Mad Cat Inn. The lodging was very clean and well stocked with everything you need for your stay; such as, towels, linens, pots and pans, dishes, utensils, etc. The house is decorated beautifully too. The property/neighborhood is very quiet and if you have small children, Doc and Carrie have a “toy barn” with lots of goodies to keep the little ones busy. We look forward to staying here again.

Fantastic! Everything we were looking for!
Just recently stayed at the Mad Cat Inn for a weekend of boating on Alum Creek. Can’t say enough about the cleanliness and quality of this rental. And the amount of toys and other things to do there are endless. We will have to come back and stay longer next time. Hosts were super helpful and friendly. Just loved staying here! Will be back.

My family came into town for my daughter’s graduation from OWU. It was the perfect location, Doc and Carrie were so wonderful, the perfect place for our family to enjoy the celebration together. This felt like home away from home, the attention to detail was like no other I have been to, I would recommend this location to anyone who is in the area, you will not be disappointed.

Great location and hosts
The property was perfect for a family gathering of six adults. We especially loved the heated toy barn, which was perfect for playing ping pong and corn hole during the cold January days. Unfortunately, it was too cold for us to enjoy the hot tub, but it was available and looked nice. We did not have pets, but the dog park was very large and well maintained. Communication was great and very responsive. We would definitely stay here again.

This was our fourth consecutive Christmas at The Mad Cat Inn. It has consistently been amazing. Through the years the condition of the inn has been perfect. The only change we have noticed is ever improvement in amenities and rotation of Christmas decorations so it never seems exactly the same. Doc and Carrie are wonderful hosts. We hope to return

One of the best.......
Doc and Carrie are wonderful hosts! They are kind, prompt and helped us with every aspect of our reservation and stay. Their place is clean, well designed and spacious. They thought of everything when preparing the house for guests. The location is perfect with plenty of restaurants and shopping close by and the layout of the property itself is great! The absolute BEST experience!
We are still blown away by the hospitality at the Mad Cat Inn! Doc and Carrie truly thought of every single detail and provided us with everything we could possibly need during our stay, even things we wouldn’t have thought we needed. From the tiniest of details, to the thoughtful touches like having children’s books and toys that our kids absolutely loved, to the holiday decor - we are just beyond impressed and so grateful to have had such a beautiful place to stay! Needed an overnight near escape room, food, nail spa,& in route to airport. Run by Lovely people around for assistance. I believe they made their own board game so that was neat to see. If we had more time we would’ve given it a go! The bedrooms were comfy and the amenities were plenty.

Great place, great location. The only thing that put a hinderance was the VRBO app itself. Thankfully the property owner, Doc, did everything he could to help! Cool guy, i will likely be back next year!

Amazing property!
Spent the weekend with my 2 best friends and our kids for a little mini vacation together. We couldn't have asked for more on our stay. The rental was perfect for us with the 3 bedrooms and very clean. Loved the personalized Mad Cat Inn coffee, the stocked kitchen and the extra toiletries in the bathrooms. We enjoyed the fire pit and the hot tub. The kids absolutely loved the toy barn and begged to stay at least one more night, saying it was the coolest place ever lol. Close to Alum Creek Beach which was also very nice. Doc and Carrie really thought of everything and were friendly, sweet and amazing hosts! We would definitely stay again and might make this an annual tradition. Thank you Doc and Carrie for everything!!

Last minute getaway
Beautiful property and fun for all ages. Our teenage boys loved the toy barn! We grilled burgers and sweet corn on the patio and it felt like home. We were surprised with all the extras too like coffee/filters, laundry pods/dryer sheets, some seasonings for cooking and even a makeup washcloth which is a genius idea. Thanks for making our trip special after the hurricane ruined our Grand Cayman plans. Definitely will stay again sometime.

Doc and Carrie could not be better hosts! There are so many fun things to do on the property… fire pit, tons of yard toys, and a really big fenced in dog park. The grounds were immaculate. Even with all that fun, we still got a very quiet night’s sleep. What a gem in Lewis Center!

Outstanding property with hands on hosts
This was our third Christmas trip at the Mad Cat Inn. All aspects of the property and our stay experience have been consistently excellent for all three trips. We stayed a week for each time. This year with its extreme weather proved challenging for both guest and host. On Christmas Eve the high temperature was -5 with -30 wind chill. Our host, Doc, was personally out in the weather manning a snow blower early morning . The wind was quite high along with the bitter cold most of our stay. There is a plastic box with cover outside of the front door to the property for use in passing communications back and forth. One morning I found Doc out in the bitter cold taping down the cover. he was concerned that the wind would rattle the box cover and disturb us. Such is the care that these hosts give to every aspect of their property. It is our hope to return again.
