The location and rooms were perfect! I may have missed it in the description, but the "whole house" is actually 2 townhomes not connected through the interior. Beds were very comfortable and spacious.
Great 2 Story Split Town House in a Very nice Location
Choose the property as we were going to a Blue Jackets Game. 7 total in our party, had both sides of this home- everyone had their own bedroom with a very nice comfortable bed! HARD to find a home with 7 separate bedrooms, this home had 8 !! all Amenities you will need, great location-- large living rooms so all of us could meet together- Highly recommended... AAA+++
Rented both houses. Older urban property with lots of charm. While parking is limited we were able to navigate it without issue. Great location for walking and very close to grocery store. Would absolutely rent again. If a large group, get paper plates, bowls, cups, and plastic ware. There are not a lot of dishes and cups available.
Awesome, nicely updated, vintage architecture German town, duplex home! Located in the very trendy Brewery district, with tons of great coffee shops, restaurants, bars & stores all within walking distance.
The one and only sort-of negative thing I can say is that none of the listings explain that the large house you’re renting is actually both halves of a fully separated duplex house. With 4 bedrooms, a kitchen & living room in each home. You need to go through the backyard and in to the other house to join up with the rest of your group. It’s not a dealbreaker or anything, we just weren’t expecting that because it wasn’t disclosed in the description.

Do NOT recommend
We rented this property for a family wedding weekend. The only positive experience was that the sheets were clean.
It was advertised as a ‘whole house for rent with 4 bathrooms etc…’
It is actually two townhouses that are not connected. This is NOT specified in the listing.
The house was extremely dirty and in need of many repairs and a facelift.
Bathrooms in each townhouse had stained tubs and trim that was falling/peeling off and one had a sagging ceiling area.
Blinds were broken and not dusty but DIRTY, some furniture was broken, interior windows were filthy and the entrances were dirty and had doors that were in poor condition.
When we arrived we could only use one townhouse at first because the door code on the second one wouldn’t work- and it took an hour to get a response from management to get a new code. It only worked on the front door.
The area was convenient and had good restaurants, and was walkable. So find another rental that is NOT attached to Cleveland House properties in the area.
Beware! This is not a single house as advertised but it is a duplex. It does not have connecting doors. The house was incredibly dirty and very run down! Broken furniture, missing blinds, lamps not working, kitchen in disrepair, The locks on the front and back doors didn’t work so we couldn’t lock up the house. Everything was very worn and dirty. Kitchen cabinets and handles very dirty and grimy. There were multiple tiles on the kitchen floor that were broken and still in place with a rug thrown over them. They moved very easily which became a hazard. Poor quality furniture and stained. The blinds that were there were so dirty you could write your name in the dust! There were 2 bags of dirty linens and towels that sat outside on a table in the back that were from a previous cleaning. Beware!!! There is only 3 parking spaces for the entire house then it’s up to you to find street parking which was difficult. Broken vanities in the bathroom. Overall not a pleasant place to stay! We made the best of it. But we were expecting much more in the VRBO rental. The rental agency for the property listened to concerns but took no action in rectifying the problems. The one positive was the beds were very comfortable, but the issue with every bed was they were all short sheeted which was very weird and annoying. We had to unmake them beds and then remake them to use the sheets. The location was not an issue. The house is VERY POORLY managed.
The property was fine as a whole, but two majorly important things to note:
1) capacity is listed as 24 people, but there are 8 queen beds total, so either people are expected to sleep 3 per bed or 8 people are expected to sleep on couches in shared spaces
2) as many others have said, this is a duplex and NOT one fully shared home
We checked into the facility very easily with no problems. We were worried about parking on the very narrow street with school transportation, but a police officer said that we could park at Kroger's (2 blocks away) they would check on our bus throughout the night. All in all it was perfect for our kids to all be together, beds were clean and comfortable.
This property is a beautiful example of late Victorian architecture! I spent a lot of time imagining what it was like when it was built.
The location was perfect! Walking distance to practically any type of restaurant or shopping experience.
Everyone thought it was great.
