  • The second oldest building remaining on The Ohio State University campus, Orton Hall was opened in 1893. It is named after Dr Edward Orton, Sr. who served as Ohio State's first president, OSU Professor of Geology from 1873 to 1899, and Ohio's State Geologist from 1882 until his death in 1899. Orton Hall is built of 40 different Ohio building stones. In the outside walls, these stones are laid in stratigraphic order according to their relative positions in Ohio's bedrock. The only non-indigenous to Ohio stone used is Indiana Limestone to build the front steps. It was chosen because of its high concentration of embedded fossils. The bell tower was dedicated in 1915 and contains 25,000 pounds of bells that can be heard regularly tolling across campus. I stayed and loved it, Leslie is a wonderful lady very professional. When my fridge didn't work Greg the fixer guy was right on the job and replaced my stove eye. If i can give this place a 10 i would.

When I showed up my room was not ready came back and still not ready. The carpet had stains and the little recliner had mold and in some areas had a funny smell and sometimes smelled like they where smoking in the rooms and never got my deposit back

Me and my wife were treated very disrespectfully by the hotel staff in the morning time. They were very disrespectful telling my wife they wanted to kick her out of the room because they wanted to come to a room inspection while she was asleep. The young lady working in the morning very disrespectful, I would not recommend this hotel to anybody. And they have a code issue with the Smoke detectors in the hotel none of them work, apparently which is a code violation for the city of Dublin

Expedia sold a rental that was not available. If my statement shows I was charged I will be filling a complaint with FCC for false advertisement. Expedite never answered the multiple calls and allegedly provides annoying music on hold to cause people to give up trying to contact by phone because allegedly there is no one to answer the call which is another violation. Please contact me.

Could be a bit more hospitable

POSITIVES: I loved the size and convenience of the room and bathroom. They we're both very clean when I arrived. The kitchenette has a sink, 2 burner stove, microwave and almost a full size fridge. The location can be ideal if you want to be in that part of town. There are a ton of restaurants near by. NOT SO POSITIVE: Check-in is only from 3pm to 6pm, but a sign posted say office hours from morn to 7pm. Even for this short period of time there isn't always someone in the office. If you need anything, including help with your room key, you have to call a phone number. The person answering may or may not be on premises. There are signs posted about not letting anyone in who isn't staying there. How are we supposed to know who is or isn't? The kitchen has nothing to cook with, dishes or utensils. I understand that these things can easily be stolen. I just wish this would be in the room description. When you arrive there are a few toiletries and one roll of toilet paper. You will not receive another roll during your stay. There seems to be many residents living there, which make A LOT OF NOISE starting around 6AM while getting ready and leaving for work. There is a regulation that you have to give 24 hours notice when you leave, but the office is not open on Sunday.

Great place to start in if relocating.

We are actually still staying at InTown Suites. They have been doing some renovations and its really starting to look amazing. They have painted the walls in all hallways on all floors, and are currently laying new carpet on all floors on all levels. Staff is very friendly and have answered any queations i have had so far. I dont like the fact that you cant check in after 6, and that there is no one in the office past 7. However they do have security on the property nightly until 12 (midnight) I dont like that there is no one in the office on Sundays. They need to invest in carts to help customers with thier luggage, especially since they are an extended stay hotel. Our room is exactly what we expected it to be with lots of storage room. The mattress is to die for!!! I dont think i have ever stayed at a hotel where the mattress i slept on just amazed me!! The room was not as clean as it should have been in my eyes. I am still doing deep cleaning in our room. The walls needed wiped down along with the bathroom door and main door. I have had to move things around to clean the floors which have glue on them from where they did the floors. Which im a clean freak and cant help but to deep clean a place i plan on living in for a few months, but i feel they could have spent more time paying attention to cleaning the rooms. I went to use the stove last night to find out it dont work. And since today is a Sunday, i have to wait to report it. Great prices for the rooms.
