I just want to start out by saying that this review is not due to the front desk staff or Shawn(Manager). We arrive and immediately went to our room drooped our bags and went for dinner. Upon returning from dinner I noticed a few things right away(paint chipping in tub, toilet was not sufficiently cleaned, mirror door for closet was off of the hinges mold in the ice-maker for the freezer, grease covered the table between beds) and more or last looked at it like it a hotel and it won’t be perfect. The breaking straw was the pull out bed. It appeared to be saturated in urine at one point. I took pictures and went to the front desk to go over the what was found. The night shift front desk employees were great but stated that there were no more rooms available. They did take notes for the manager upon his arrival in the morning. I then told the front desk that I was going to stay at another hotel because my children were not going to sleep on that and they could not change the mattress. I booked another hotel and left. The next morning, I head to the hotel only to find that it was a blessing that we did not stay the night. There were over 50 vehicles I that area that were smash and grabs and as I entered the parking lot, many cars had black garbage bags over the windows that were broken. The manager is exceptional but I believe owners are not invested in this hotel. We tend to stay at the HW locations quite often and this one is not up to par.
