This is the downstairs apartment of a historic duplex that was built in 1930 and completely renovated in 2020. The building is on a busy urban street so expect to hear some road noise inside of the apartment. The entire space has been completely redone and decorated in a splash of gem tones throughout. Comfy velvet upholstery, vibrant art work, glamorous black and brass light fixtures, and colorful vintage glass accessories give the guests of the Gem of Bull Street an extra pep in their step!
The house is on a busy street and guests should expect to hear road noise, especially in the living room of the apartment. We do provide a sound machine and ear plugs for light sleepers.
The living area has comfortable furnishings, a 55” Roku TV (no cable), a dedicated work space, and a covered porch facing the BullStreet District. The king size bedroom has a plush upholstered velvet bed frame, bedside tables, lamps, charging stations and a large closet for clothes and storage. The bathroom has been completely renovated and has brand new floor and wall tile, a stand-up shower, and the original vintage privacy glass bathroom window. The spacious eat-in kitchen has brand new granite counters, gray shaker cabinets and stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher and electric range. A washer and dryer is located in the kitchen and a back door leads to the shared back entry. There is a large closet off of the living room for extra storage with a rolling barn door too.

Cottontown is an awesome well established historic neighborhood that is within a mile of the downtown business district of Columbia. We love this hood so much that we also call it home and live a few blocks away. There are so many friendly people in Cottontown, don't be surprised if folks wave or stop and chat with you if you decide to talk a stroll or walk to one of the several local businesses within a block or two of your door. Our personal favorites are, well, everything! Make sure to stop in at The Cottontown Brew Lab for one of their many specialty craft beers or swing into Indah Coffee for a cup of their specialty roasted cafes. The War Mouth is our favorite spot for a nice sit down dinner and cocktails, make sure to try their deviled eggs with their homemade hot sauce, they won't disappoint! Rambo's Fat Cat Biscuits is the newest eatery to open in our neighborhood and they offer take-out and eat-in delicious sinfully good biscuits! Il Focolare pizza is also a short stroll away and no need to tip, every employee is paid a living wage at this local 90s themed female owned business (SmallSugar is a short drive away and under the same ownership). Curiosity Coffee has a great little spot with local merchandise for purchase and plenty of brews, drinks and of course, coffee. We love the Vino Garage and they regularly schedule food trucks and pop-ups in their parking lot, so stop in for the perfect wine / beer dinner pairings! Vegan? No problem, Peace of Soul is within two blocks of this apartment and has been slinging out soulful vegan food since the 80s. Did we mention that the Bull Street Development where the Columbia Fireflies Baseball Stadium, REI Co-Op store and Starbucks (opening soon) is also within a few blocks walk? There is so much to love about Cottontown, there's too much to list!
