Muletown’s Modern Comfy Cottage is located in up and coming Columbia Tennessee. The location is very convenient. Located 6 miles from downtown Muletown. Down town is full of great places to dine and visit. Wonderful one of a kind dining experiences, antique shopping, boutiques, brewery’s and coffee shops adorn the quant little square. Breakfast, lunch, dinner or just a place to wind down with beer and wonderful snacks awaits you. If you are lucky enough to find yourself visiting the first Friday of every month you will find food trucks and craft vendors. The farmers market is located right off the square on the river walk. If you are in the mood for fine dining, hamburgers or bar hoping and karaoke you will find that on Riverside drive right off the square. The cottage is pet friendly and you can take Fido for a stroll on river walk or to the new dog park located at Maury County park. Load the bicycles provided and you will find scenic routes in short driving distances or just get your exercise in the sweet cottage neighborhood. There are nice scenic hiking trails within 5-10 miles as well. The Crossings in Spring Hill is 10 miles North and there you will find a nice updated movie theatre, well known shopping and chain type restaurants. Downtown Franklin is 20 miles North and has a very nice square with local eateries, shopping and a vintage movie theatre. Downtown Nashville is 40 miles North and full of nightly entertainment. If you are wanting more of a personal retreat, you will enjoy the cottages outdoor pool and hot tub. The pergola with swing and fire pit is a nice hangout and quite romantic spot. A nice friendly game of horseshoes or cornhole will make you feel down home. There is a parking garage and ample parking in the paved drive. Outdoor front porch bed swing to relax. In season, the herb garden to add to your homemade dishes for freshness. Screened in porch with a television and fan to retreat from the summertime bugs overlooking the swimming pool and picnic grill out back. My favorite room in the house is a fully enclosed heated and cooled sunporch with windows surrounding you and curtains you can pull and windows you can open if you desire privacy to enjoy a peaceful nap or if your lucky to snag that room a peaceful nights sleep. There is a cute comfy room kiddos will love with built ins flanking a custom queen bed and a smart tv. There is a cozy king bedroom with a incredible walk in tile shower equipped with a rain head steps away. There is also an on suite with a cozy King bed and jacuzzi tub as well as a walk in closet if you require ample closet space. All bedrooms are adorned with a smart tv. The living area has a comfy recliner and sofa along with a comfy settee and table and chairs to play games, work puzzles or enjoy a snack. Watch a movie and enjoy the relaxing fireplace in winter or summer as it has the option to use with or without heat. The kitchen is equipped with all things needed to whip up a warm meal or nice sandwich or coffee to sit at the eat in breakfast nook while enjoying the birds in the nice mature trees and gaze at the neighbors walking their dogs. You will find a raised bar in the kitchen and a small office with nice windows and a printer for those working remotely. Downstairs is a full bathroom with a walk in tile shower and luxury rainhead . You will find a pool table, small beverage bar fridge and smart tv for some friendly pool games and a nice cool retreat from the summertime pool activities. There is a small workout room surrounding you with mirrors and a smart tv located downstairs in a private noise dampened room as well. The cottage can easily and comfortably sleep 8 guests. If you require more space we will provide a pull out mattress and the sofa. When you find yourself looking for a relaxing hot tub and pool get away, we would be happy to invite you to enjoy the convenience and “ comfyness” of Muletown’s Modern Comfy Cottage. First, the pictures online do not do this lovely cottage justice. It is absolutely adorable! The wood vaulted ceiling with beams and skylights give the space such a warm feel. I found a book on display in one of the bedrooms that brought back so many wonderful childhood memories. That was icing on the cake for such a memorable weekend.

The house was very spacious. The kitchen had everything we needed. The kids and adults loved the pool table. It was located downstairs so we could play all hours of the day/night and not bother family members who needed to rest. It was perfect for getting ready for a wedding.

Girls Gathering Week
We rented the property for our bi-annual girls week and loved it. It was clean and cozy, loved the pool and hot tub. A few more stairs than we expected but that was our fault for not reading the listing more carefully. We really enjoyed Columbia and just hanging around the property. We spent time in Nashville and some of the girls even made a day trip to Bucees in Athens.

The house was perfect. It was just as shown and more. It was clean and welcoming. Our group has been getting together for about ten years to catch up and jump start the new school year. Beautiful house with fixable flaws
The house itself was beautiful and spacious and the location was great. The pool was great and the hottub was great, except for the blown out speakers that you couldn't hear. However, the fridge was full of half eaten food and an open container of milk, the outside garbage was full when we got their so we had to put full trash in the garage, we ran out of trash bags, paper towels, and toilet paper on day 2 and the owner took 3 hours to respond by which time we had already bought our own. There was standing water in the garage. There is no type of texture on the back stairs by the pool which makes them very slippery. The railings on the back porch stairs are loose. Asked to wash towels before leaving but had to text owner to get laundry detergent. The lawn care person came by and was blowing grass into the pool while the kids were swimming. The jets on the tub in the master bathroom were nasty which made the tub unusable. The tvs in the basement and on the back porch werent functional. Not a single board game in the house had the necessary pieces to play. The house had everything that was listed but a good bit of it was damaged or unfunctional. Things mentioned by previous guests as far back as 2023 that are still an issue: ants all over kitchen, broken drawers in kitchen, top rack of diswasher comes out on its own, and the pool table was cracked which made all the balls roll toward the middle.

Perfect spot for summer family visit
This was a great spot with minimal inconveniences with a great pool and beautiful property. We liked being close to everything but seemed like we were in a private and secluded little nook. Neighbors pups got pretty excited anytime we were outside but it didn’t stop us from enjoying our outside time. Beautiful house with beachy themes.

Excellent family vacation home
We couldn’t have asked for a better place to call home for the week. The property was clean upon arrival and we were able to check in a little early. I’d read reviews of wasps so we were expecting those and while they were around they didn’t bother us and the host had left spray if needed, the pest company came while we were there and we were able to tell them about an area around the hot tub and they located two nests that they removed. The pool was perfect, and enjoyed by the adults and kids! The beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of towels. Located in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood it was the perfect getaway for a family who wanted to simply go someplace new and warm and relax the entire time. Downtown Columbia seemed great and it was close enough to Franklin to explore too!

It was a beautiful home well taken care of. Homeowner was a delight to work with. Tennessee had tornados the evening we were coming in and she text me told us to travel safely. We had a 9 hr drive ahead of us and we needed to have a place to sleep as we were coming in a 330am. She accomidated us so we could get some much needed rest. We will be back was a beautiful home. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub one evening. Wish we could have taken advantage of all the other amenities like the fire pit, pool table, work out room but unfortunately we had a wedding that kept us busy most evenings. We would recommend taking a short drive to downtown columbia square enjoy the shops and sit out and have a wonderful lunch. Thank you

We came to participate in Mule Day. The house was clean and exactly as advertised. We were in and out a lot and the check in was easy and following the instructions were a breeze. Great property, lovingly maintained, a couple worn-down features.
As with all VRBOs, they take their fair share of abuse. Despite that, you could tell this property is lovingly maintained. We loved every minute of our stay. We had a wonderful time exploring Columbia, too. The river front walk, the pipe lounge, the Buck and Board, Hunt's thrift shop, all wonderful. A couple things to be aware of that are common in VRBOs. The buttons on the Hot Tub are cracked/broken, some of the jets/waterfalls don't work and the bluetooth speaker is broken (jumbled sound), but the chemical levels were spot on, it was very clean, and it was hot and bubbly : ) . Most of the non-stick pans are very scratched. WIndows are painted shut. The batteries for the XBOX are all dead (or the controller is broken). The Pool table has a crack in the middle so one side is very tilted (someone put cardboard under one side, so one side is level). The dishwasher is hard to reach and has broken buttons. All minor things that definitely don't take away from how nice the property is and how quaint the neighborhood/town are. It is a wonderful property. We did need to contact Mercedes for a minor issue. She was responsive and very helpful. We would totally rent this location again!
