Good location near Glacier
More a country atmosphere (there are chickens) with a very loving homey feel to the decor of home. Please note the bears over the bedroom door to the left. Good touch for being near Glacier. Fresh chicken eggs were supplied for our breakfasts along with coffee, juice, milk,1 box of cereal, and a loaf of bread along with butter and jelly. Small outdoor charcoal grill was fine for our group of 4 adults. We did eat supper one night out on the deck. We didn’t use the outdoor fire pit but it and wood were available. Having spices available was a nice addition. Smiths grocery store is only a few miles away. We took the room air conditioners off eco mode after the first night and it was more like white noise not waking us each time the air conditioner turned on. Having 2 bathrooms and bedrooms worked well for us. Our hosts were very nice and helpful. They even lent us bear spray to keep us safe on our hikes. Home was clean and everything was in good working order.

The property was a challenge to find because there was no signage on the road. The property condition was poor because there was something wrong with the bed. It would shake uncontrollably. The handle in the shower wasn't screwed down.

Enjoyed our stay. Gary & Christina were good hosts providing bear spay for our hikes, fresh eggs from their roaming chickens, fridge additionally stocked with milk, bread, and orange juice. Also Keurig options, and R/O water. We appreciated the email communications prior to our arrival that supplied tips about things to see and places to go. Also liked the coffee table full of current maps and information.

Phenomenal stay near Glacier
Our group has a wonderful experience staying at Christina's home. She met us when we arrived with fresh eggs from their chickens (who you will see around the property during your stay) and helped us get acquainted with the property. She was very communicative and responded to questions very promptly, went above and beyond to make us comfortable and was incredibly accommodating with a late check-out. The home is very close to Glacier: 20min to Apgar (the westernmost access point to Glacier National Park) with lots of places to get huckleberry desserts (if you're here in August) on the way to the park. Also was 5min drive to the nearest supermarket (Smith's) and 5min drive to gas. We were working from home some days and Christina upgraded the wifi ahead of our stay (again, going above and beyond). Wifi was fast and reliable the whole time, definitely enough for 4 people to use simultaneously. Very well stocked kitchen with all the utensils, pots and pans, spices, multiple coffee makers, knives, towels, everything you could need to cook for multiple people almost every day of our stay. Would 100% stay here again and will recommend to all of our friends.

Awesome property
We have stayed in many rentals. You couldn’t ask for a better couple as hosts. Our Amtrak got into Whitefish at 11PM. I expressed our concern about finding the house so late. Christina and her husband met us at the station so we could follow them to the rental! The house is super clean and an easy ride to Glacier. The house has everything you need! Christina left us orange juice, milk and fresh eggs from their chickens! She made up a book of local restaurants and local things to do. My son accidentally locked the door to his bedroom, and they were there in 10 minutes, smiling and friendly! It has washer and dryer with detergent, and all appliances you could need. Their deck looks right at mountains. Great for the Keurig pods they leave for morning coffee! I can’t recommend enough!

Great Value and Friendly Hosts
We stayed here for our visit to Glacier Park. It was a 15-16 minute drive to Glacier and within 1-2 miles of downtown Columbia Falls. Whitefish was an easy drive from here. Both hosts have pride in their home and it is well maintained. Very accommodating and made sure some food was here (eggs, cereal, milk, water, butter, condiments, bread, fruit, etc). When I mentioned that we enjoyed puzzles, they brought in some puzzles for us to do (along with a card table). The master bath has a sprayer by the toilet, which is nice. The location is right off the main drag and it's very quiet and safe. There is a lumberyard and some scrap car places nearby (the lumberyard was helpful as a landmark since that's where you turn to get on the street). There were plenty of extra towels and the washer and dryer were great (dryer worked very quickly to dry). Great location and the value was so much better than staying in a hotel! Oh, and the kitchen is fully stocked and that was very helpful to be able to cook (we stopped by Costco before arriving at the home). Hospitality at its finest! Thank you! Oh, even though we didn't use it, they had a fire pit (with logs) and a grill that was available. Huge lot with a big yard.

Great basecamp for Glacier NP and Flathead NF hiking and exploring
Gary and Christina are awesome. I wanted to start out by letting everyone know that the property is great but the hosts are simply wonderful and their attention to detail made our visit very comfortable and rewarding. The house in Columbia Falls was comfortable, inviting and impeccably clean. My husband, son and I arrived after the drive up from Missoula and gathering groceries for our 10 days. When we arrive Gary was there and was leaving some breakfast goods for us. He left eggs, milk, coffee (both Keurig and ground for drip maker), cereal and some treats. There is also both water from house, or from a water cooler. The house has a softener and you have the option of drinking tap (softened), distilled (from cooler) or buying your own. My husband is our chef and he loved all the spices that were in the house for us to use in preparing our meals. Plenty of cookware, utensils, plate etc. Outside there is a charcoal grill, which we used to smoke some chicken and beef during our stay. There is also a little charcoal grill which we took out with us one day to cook some brats, dogs and buns by the banks of the Flathead river. Each room did have individual AC units, which, believe or not was needed as it got really hot while we were there. There were plenty of linens, towels etc and Christina also provided a medicine cabinet with general purpose supplies and little travel sized toiletries as well as shampoo, conditioner and soap...just in case you forgot to bring. Christina also left a helpful book to local stores restaurants and other attractions. Overall we had a great time and would definitely repeat...I hope we can soon!

Charming mountain get away
This lovely home was the perfect place to begin a lovely day of hiking in Glacier National Park. We enjoyed morning coffee on the porch looking at the mountains and using the binoculars to search for wildlife. It was also the perfect place for weary hikers at the end of the day! There was plenty of space to relax, a roomy kitchen and each bedroom had its own bath. Christina has thought of everything you might need including breakfast food, filtered water, toiletries in case you forgot anything. The flowers on the front porch give a special touch to the place. The location was perfect to get to Glacier, Whitefish or into Columbia Falls restaurants and grocery stores.
