"This cute cabin is perfect for a couple looking for a cozy and romantic weekend in Gold Country. This is our second time staying at this cabin because we enjoyed our first visit last year so much. It is a short walk or bike ride from the Indigeny Cidery and a short drive into downtown Sonora, with its quirky establishments (like a gun store/bar). Highly recommended."

"Great location near Arnold and Calavaras Big Trees. The cabin was set up well, the beds were very comfortable and showers worked great. Both the kitchen, bathrooms were clean upon arrival. However, I felt overall the cabin needs a very deep cleaning. I didn’t notice any smells, but there were so many items in the cabin that needed dusting. There was a thick layer of dust on top of the microwave under various items. I dropped an egg on the kitchen floor, the paper towel I used to clean...

"Our host could not have done more to make our stay a pleasant one. The cabin had everything you might need and more. We spent many lovely hours on the large deck enjoying the surrounding trees. We’re already planning a return stay. "

"We had a wonderful time staying at 2 Dog Lodge! We celebrated my son’s birthday in the woods, that’s all he wanted and it definitely was exactly what he’d hoped for. Our dog also loved all the special nods to him. It was great not having to bring bowls, bed, etc. The yard was fun for all of us! I hope we can come back when there’s snow to enjoy again!"

"Our stay in the cozy cabin was a good time of year to go. Very quiet so my wife and I enjoyed our time. A few things that would need an upgrade is the lighting as it needs a little more brighter lights, the Bar B Que grill was not used as I went to grill steaks and the last person before us did not bother to clean was disappointed. The big couch you definitely sink in to it. Overall it was a nice stay. "
