It's the perfect place to disconnect from a hectic life and unwind. It's so quiet and peaceful, and the house is very clean, cozy, and well-decorated. The view from the deck is beautiful. In addition, the host left a pair of cozy socks, which was so sweet.
The property was perfect for a few of 4. The balconies view from the main bedroom was amazing. Very clean, very prepared. And excellent location for all we wanted to do. Well recommend, will be back.
We had a wonderful winter weekend getaway with our pups. We enjoyed great views on the back porch next to a firepit, snowshoing on the property, and evening movies on the big TV. The kitchen was well stocked, the bed was really comfortable, and the complimentary fuzzy socks were a great touch given the wood floors.
This cabin was the perfect getaway for us! Everything was as listed, and Kristen was prompt in addressing the minor issues that popped up during our stay! We will definitely look to stay here again in the future.
The cabin was as described and worked perfectly for our needs. It’s close to world class fishing on the South Platte and to the casinos in Cripple Creek. This is the second time I’ve stayed here and, I would gladly stay again.
Amazing stay! Kristyn has everything and more to prepare you for your stay in the mountains. Definitely suggest checking in with her on supplies before travel because more than likely, she’ll have it stocked!!
The host was very kind and good at communicating with us and answering any questions.

The cabin was in a beautiful, quiet, secluded location in the mountains. We had plenty of room and everything we needed. Lots of extra special touches. I would highly recommend booking this cabin.
Great escape from the every day! Quiet, secluded with gorgeous views and animal life. Felt secure and able to relax easily. Amenities were plentiful and Kristen was easy to communicate with.
Came here with my dog to get away from the city, it was fantastic. The place was stocked up, and everything was labeled! I would highly recommend this cabin. The owner is also very kind and responds to messages very quickly.
My wife and I had a fantastic time at the cabin. Everything was clean and well organized. We had a small problem with the wifi but the property owner helped us solve it quickly. We highly recommend the property.
The location an view from the backporch was amazing! The house was very clean and cozy. There were games to play with my kids and even tho i had no reception on my phone the wifi worked really good. I would definitely stay here again!
We absolutely loved our stay. It was perfect for us and our doggos. The house was a good distance from neighbors which was great for our doggos. Amazing space for my partner and our doggos. You can get the best views just chilling on the deck.
Be mindful to maps we were able to cut 15 min off our drive time since maps tried to make us go all around the neighborhood.
Pretty cabin. Bedroom view is nothing short of amazing. Could tell pets had been there based on the amount of fur still on floors (didn't really bother us as we have an inside dog too...). Very remote for driving purposes, thus it typically took almost 30-45 to get anywhere from there (Woodland Park or CO Springs). Overall, a nice stay and neat cabin.
Our week stay was absolutely amazing. The entire house was stocked, and Kristen really did well with decor and necessities. Plenty of kitchen gear, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, etc. I love the little touches like the swing chair outside, white noise machine, air purifiers and the little mud room in the entryway. We saw plenty of wildlife, and our kids (12 and 2) thoroughly enjoyed waking up and playing "in the mountain house"! The view from the balcony is phenomenal. Cell service is spotty but wifi is STRONG. Roads are dirt and a little sketchy at night, but easy to navigate for the most part. Exceeded every expectation. HIGHLY recommend!!
What a stay!
My wife and I loved the place and so did our Australian Shepherd.
Kristen's communication was awesome and she always was quick to reply to our messages and answering questions.
Check in was a breeze. I wish checking into hotels was as easy.
The place was spotless when we arrived and we were impressed by the stock of condiments and everything you would ever need. If you cook gourmet you might want to bring your own spiced (commonnn the host can't think of EVERYTHING) but for cooking most meals there is what you need.
The bed is really nice and better that the bed at home. Oh wait did I say that out loud?
The views were great from the back porch.
The shower was great and 6'6" 270 lb me had plenty of room and the water pressure was was good.
Our dog Sykes loved it and loved running around the place and exploring as well as chasing the Chipmunks. He also enjoyed barking at the Lynx one night. If you have ever heard a Lynx calling on a dark night you know itwill make your hair stand up on the back of your neck. He also had a night he got to bark at a bear that was outside. He/she left a large poop near the cabin to prove that it was there as well as another philosophical question that has been asked for many years now.
And with that said I definitely would not let pets out after dusk without an escort and on a leash. Remember we are in their home and they have every right to pass through.
If you want a very reasonable place in rhe mountains, this is the place.
We loved this cabin so much! The location was great (not too close to the town center, not too far). It was very nicely equipped and decorated. She had extra items for our dog as well. Very pet friendly. Would definitely recommend.
My boyfriend and I visited for a long weekend with our two dogs, celebrating our anniversary. Home was clean and cozy. Weather was just starting to get chilly so host left some cozy socks, which was a nice touch. Property is in a nice, secluded, location with no super close neighbors. Would be a great spot during leaf peeping season, but unfortunately, we were a little too late in the season for that. Property is well lit, which was especially nice when taking the dogs out at night.
The host was super friendly, responsive, and flexible. Would definitely recommend!
Fair priced vrbo but be aware there is an insurance protection policy added to total. This is a wonderfully, unique property with all the amenities that we needed for our 4 night stay. Well equipped, some seclusion, and comfortable bed!
