Wonderful cabin. Pristine condition, everything well thought through by host.
This was a wonderful cabin. Very quiet, clean and fit all of us easily. Seeing bears and deer in the woods was a lot of fun. Everyone really enjoyed their stay. Everything we needed was there for cooking, extra pillows and blankets and a lovely patio/deck for relaxing outside. We would definitely stay again.
This cabin was perfect for our 15 year anniversary. The house comes with all the necessities needed while staying away from home! We greatly appreciate the hospitality. Very quiet neighborhood and not too far from town.
Great place! Rained a lot while we were there so we enjoyed binge watching 1923 and just spending time with our adult daughters after a wedding in CoS. Great coffee shops/grocery store nearby. They have the house stocked with everything you need. We enjoyed our time together.
This property was the perfect size for our family of four. It was quiet and a great getaway for the family. We had good snow for snowball fights and fun in the snow. You probably need a 4 wheel drive vehicle in the winter time/ when snow ice will be present. Water transfer pump needs to be sound insulated. Overall a great place to stay with everything needed provided. Thanks for a great stay!
The property is tucked away in the peace and quiet. Pictures don't do it justice. The cabin is absolutely gorgeous with everything you could possibly need and more. Upper loft gets quite warm so use caution adjusting thermostat. We fell in love with the place and wish our stay could've been longer!
My husband and son stayed here and loved it. They were sending us pictures of the deer and foxes they saw just standing on the balcony. Their only complaint was it said a coffee maker was provided so they bought their own coffee (they drink a lot of coffee). It is a Keurig machine- not an issue, but they felt bad for drinking so many of the Keurigs and would have brought their own supply if they had known. The place was very comfy and well stocked. They would stay here again.
We loved our stay here. Beautiful and house was wonderful. Road to cabin was a dirt road and very steep. Had to unload half our covered trailer so the load wasn’t so heavy on the way out. Afraid my Buick enclave would have problems with the full load. Left the trailer at the main road and then went back down to get the rest of our things. We had a lot. Had been camping in Yellowstone the prior week. A truck would have pulled it out with no problem.
My family and I wanted a vacation in the mountains and Demi’s cabin was perfect! The evening we arrived we were greeted by deer!
The cabin is beautiful. Demi has the cabin well stocked! Plenty of towels and washcloths. Brand new dishes and pots! The kids enjoyed being able to watch Netflix! She has puzzles and board games available for use.
There are 3 decks you can use to enjoy. In the morning I enjoyed seeing the birds flying through the trees and visiting the neighbors bird feeder. In the evening we enjoyed using the gas fireplace and seeing from the large windows the moonlight through the trees.
The weather was perfect each day of our stay. We visited the Cliff Dwellings, the Dinosaur Resource Center, the Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, and the North Pole!
Demi, thank you so much for having your beautiful cabin available for us to use! We definitely would go back to Woodland Park to visit!
Beautiful new cabin with everything your family needs for a great stay!
I could write a book on how great this mountain cabin was for our family. It was a gorgeous cabin - beautifully decorated and stocked with everything you need for a nice long getaway. The owner was wonderful to talk to and very attentive to our family's needs.
We left the cabin most days in the morning and enjoyed the short drive in to town which almost always provided breathtaking views and a plethora of wildlife. We saw several mule deer and elk. At one point we got to watch a mama elk and her newborn calf.
We have stayed in a lot of VRBOs over the years and they almost always seem to be lacking some basic family vacation necessity - things like a pizza cutter or an ice cream scoop. This cabin has it all and then some! We picked up steaks to grill one night and forgot to get seasonings. We found a giant bottle of steak seasoning in the pantry plus lots of other useful kitchen staples most people don't haul along on vacation. The owner seemed to have anticipated everything!
We may not be back to Colorado for several years but we hope to stay here again some day. We highly recommend this lovely rental.
My boyfriend had been working in Europe for over three months. We both wanted to escape to a beautiful place after the chaos of Christmas. And boy did we find the absolute perfect place.
9,000 feet above sea level, the views of the mountains and Pikes Peek, literally, took our breath away. We are from Texas and truly had no words to describe the beauty of the area.
The cabin was absolutely perfect. The night we arrived, it snowed. We woke up to the most beautiful scene just outside the beautiful windows. We sat and drank our coffee together and just took the beauty in. We saw several deer also enjoying what was now a winter wonderland.
The cabin was decorated beautifully. The fire place was perfect for cuddling up on the coach and watching a movie.
The master bedroom was perfect for the two of us. And the bed was extra comfortable.
Everything worked perfect!! I cooked breakfast and every utensil, skillet, cups, everything you could think of was available.
The owners take great care of this cabin!!!!
10/10 recommend!!!
We’ll be back!!! Thank you for the most wonderful four days!!! It was absolutely perfect!!!
Our family of 4 stayed 6 nights in this lovely cabin for summer vacation. Here are our Pros and Cons for this cabin:
Pros:
Remote and very quiet but not too far from town for groceries, restaurants, etc.
Newly built cabin that is well themed and decorated.
Very well-stocked kitchen.
Lots of family games available.
Excellent value for cabin condition and size.
Owner was quickly responsive and offered the best possible solution for an issue.
Cons:
Water cistern/pump extremely loud in the main bedroom when water is being used anywhere in the cabin.
Internet was too slow for anything to load on phones or to stream anything to watch on the TVs.
No closet or storage space (such as a dresser) available for main bedroom, so no way to hang up clothes or unpack a suitcase.
No washer, dryer, or iron available.
Very low water pressure for the showers.
Cabin does not have a mountain view, just trees.
There is no AC. I think this is normal for mountain cabins; however, with the large open windows, during our stay in July the living area and loft were miserably hot during the day.
We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It's very clean, nicely decorated and has comfortable beds. The kitchen and bathrooms are modern and well-stocked. It's in a "neighborhood" of widely spaced homes along dirt roads. You can see 3 other houses from the driveway side of the cabin but you don't see them when you are looking out the very large windows in the living room. From the 2 balconies there are views into the forest and you'll regularly see mule deer and turkeys. There are no mountain views from the house. It was quiet and peaceful during our whole 10 day stay. My recommendations for improvements are: Insulate the lower-level master bedroom from the sound of the water pump. It can get noisy down there when the pump is running. Also install a rack and hangers in the lower-level master bedroom so that we can hang our clothes (there's a dresser but no closet down there). In the upper-level loft bedroom there's a large closet but that bedroom needs a dresser. There's no washer and dryer at the house but Woodland Park has several good laundromats. There's a lot to do in the area and the cabin's location is in the middle of great places to visit towards the east (Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, Manitou Springs, Cheyenne Mt. St. Park, Dinosaur Museum in Woodland Park) and other places towards the west and south (Florissant Fossil Beds, Colorado Wolf Sanctuary, Mueller State Park, Royal Gorge, Eleven Mile St. Park, Buena Vista hot springs). Overall, a great visit.
I booked this to be close to other family members who were doing repairs on our vacation home near there. It was very nice and clean and had everything you needed. It seemed to be fairly new. Loved the secluded location! There were some homes nearby but hidden from the views out the windows. Beautiful large floor to ceiling windows in the from with a nice deck that was lit up with string lights. I would definitely stay again!
The cabin was beautiful and clean. It had everything we needed to stay and to cook meals. My family enjoyed watching the friendly deer that come right up to you. We also enjoyed quiet evenings on the deck. The only issues we had were the road to get there, and the altitude.
Beautiful, clean, comfortable cabin. All the furnishings and amenities you could hope for.
Outdoor deck for morning coffee or afternoon/evening cocktail was wonderful. Perfect set up for either couples tracking together or families
