Summary:
Welcome to Cozinook, a beautiful 100-year-old cabin perched on the edge of a neighborhood in quaint Cascade on the famed Pikes Peak. You'll enjoy breathtaking views and hiking out the front door. Watch hawks circle above the Cascade canyon from the cabin's back patio, gather around a roaring fire in the original masonry fireplace for games or a movie, or retreat to the hammock. Ideal for romantic getaways, quiet retreats, small get togethers, and as a base for all your Rocky Mountain adventures.
The Space:
Cozinook backs to incredible views of forested mountain ridges and rock formations on two sides, and has neighboring homes on the other two sides. The cabin has a one-of-a-kind personality among vacation rentals, with its charming and rustic originality, updated and expanded uniquely throughout the years for space, comfort and convenience. Fluffy blankets are available throughout, so the cabin will live up to its name, and for those wanting to catch some extra Zs, curtains throughout are light blocking. The eclectic western decor, much of it historic itself, pays homage to the history of our area including the original Ute inhabitants, railroads of the early 1900s, and others who have come to enjoy its beauty throughout the years.

Please note that the land behind the cabin, once it starts to get steep, is private and not part of Cozinook.
The Neighborhood:
Cozinook is located in a peaceful, full-time residential neighborhood in Cascade. There are neighbors on both sides, but lots of unobstructed wilderness views!
There is a park, a creek, and several trails in the neighborhood (see our physical guidebook in the cabin for pointers). Enjoy a wine tasting and dinner by the creek at local favorite restaurant, The Wines of Colorado, just a quick walk down the street. The entrance to the Pikes Peak highway is just a mile away from the cabin. You can be eating lunch at the brand-new Summit House in less than an hour!
Getting Around:
Cozinook's location allows easy access to both Woodland Park and Colorado Springs/Manitou Springs. You will want to have your own vehicle as there is little public transportation here.
Cascade not only boasts parks, a rock shop, a pickle shop, and restaurants within walking distance, but you can also enjoy the Breakfast at the Pantry and night life at the Blue Moose in Green Mountain Falls, accessible without even getting on the highway. We have provided a guide book at the cabin with all of our favorite recommendations.
Walmart and Natural Grocers in Woodland Park are 10 minutes west on highway 24. Woodland Park is a wonderful mountain town with groceries, gas stations, coffee shops, a brewery, and restaurants. It also has a public indoor pool with lazy river and lap lanes.
The shops, attractions, and restaurants of Manitou Springs are just 10 minutes down the hill (East) on highway 24. Drive 5 minutes more and you're in Colorado Springs to enjoy Garden of the Gods, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, the Air Force Academy, the new Olympic Museum and all the fun and delicious new restaurants.
If you're looking to venture further into the Rockies for day-trip adventures, there are hikes, world-class fly-fishing, lakes for paddle-boarding, state-parks, and the casinos of Cripple Creek all within an hour's drive! Let us know your areas of interest and we'd love to make some suggestions.
Interaction with Guests:
We give guests their privacy, but request you let us know if anything is not quite right about your stay so we can fix it promptly, and we love to share our local knowledge of the Pikes Peak Region to enhance your time here, so please feel free to tell us about your group and areas of interest so we can make suggestions for your time here.
