Our guests enjoy the full walkout lower level with a private entrance and parking. The ceilings are over 9 feet and there are oversized windows throughout—it does not feel like a ‘basement’! The entire space includes 2 bedrooms with locks, 2 full bathrooms and a spacious common area with gas fireplace, Smart TVs (Wifi included—watch via our Netflix account, or log into your own viewing App), and a pool table, plus a large furnished outdoor space with a bbq grill, ample seating around a propane fire-pit, and--best of all-- incredible scenic views of a mountain lake and the Rocky Mountains.

We've named the suite "The Fly-By" because our property is situated along the path that military jets take as they fly low-altitude across the US Air Force Academy. Several times per week we enjoy the "sound of freedom" crossing over us with up-close views of our nation's phenomenal air-power. We love it, and hope you do to! Our space is not 420 friendly and does not allow smoking (cigarettes or marijuana) at any time.

With this listing, you will have full private access to the entire walk-out basement level.
Other things to note: One bedroom has a queen bed, the 2nd bedroom has a queen and a twin-bunk bed. Sleep an additional person on sectional couch (NOT a pullout sleeper). The suite has a complete kitchen (fridge, stove/oven, microwave, and dishwasher). We provide the basic cookware for cooking and dining. The suite also has its own washing machine and dryer. One stall of the attached garage is available to guests--an especially good treat to yourself during winter bookings and gives valuable piece-of-mind during frequent Front Range summer hail storms.
Available in suite: infant high chair and infant 'pack-n-play'; iron and ironing board; and cooking spices you need for that special meal you want to cook.
You get the entire lower level of this custom home. One stall of the attached garage is yours to use during your stay.
We live on the upper level of the home, so we can quickly respond to any needs/issues that arrive. Otherwise, we tend to leave guests alone to enjoy their stay as a private retreat. Parking and entrances to the suite are completely separate from those of the upper level, so you can come and go as you please!
Note: we are active most mornings about 7:30am on the level above the suite. The floor itself is well insulated and very little noise gets through. However, if you are light sleepers and need morning "quiet hours", let us know and we will make an effort to be extra quiet those days.
The property overlooks the beautiful lake of the "Forest Lakes" subdivision. Unfortunately, we are not part of the Forest Lakes HOA, so we cannot offer access to the lake (the scenery is free, though!).
The location is rural, so a vehicle is necessary. The neighborhood roads are gravel. Parking is ample and right next to the house.
The property is on a gravel road, and the new driveway can be slippery when wet or snowy, so please drive carefully.
The property has two driveways. Fly-by guests should enter the East drive (farther from mountains). Go around the house to the left to the walk-out basement level. Park in front of the basement's left overhead garage door on the concrete pad. Enter the suite through the left garage door (keypad is to the right of the door), or walk down the sidewalk to the entrance door under the patio.
