Waterfront with spectacular view, close to restaurants and bars

Imagine yourself with a glass of wine, sitting on our front porch (we call it our Tuscan veranda), watching a breathtaking sunset over Monroe Bay. Unobstructed water view, located on "The Point", recently renovated with cook's kitchen, 2 beds, 2 full baths, sleeping up to 5 guests. Beaches a short 3 block scenic walk. Bring your bikes or rent a golfcart. A variety of restaurants/bars located within blocks. Wifi included. Ample parking for cars and trailers. When we have guests in the house we occupy our RV at the rear of our 17,000 square foot property. Nothing is shared between us and our guests including amenities. Guests are closer to next door neighbors than they are to us.

“Sunsets & Mermaids” was aptly named and the best quiet retreat ever. Beautifully appointed, clean and stocked with everything you would want or need in a vacation home away from home. The owner was so accommodating and helpful. I’d stay here again and again.

Perfect getaway!
This was our first time in Colonial Beach and we really enjoyed it. Definitely recommend renting a golf cart to get around town. The house is beautiful and in a great location close to everything. The homeowner was also great to work with and we’ll definitely be back soon!

This was the second time at this property.
There are many options in Colonial Beach but this one is our favorite. The front porch can't be beat and the house is really nice. Host is excellent.

Lovely getaway
My wife and I needed a little R&R and randomly chose Colonial Beach. We could not be happier with Sunsets and Mermaids. The house was beautiful and the view was unbelievable. Three gorgeous sunsets made our time away...a 5 star getaway.

This house was outstanding in every respect. It was beautifully decorated, impeccably clean, and well-designed. It came with all the amenities one could ask for. The beds were very comfortable. And the view of Monroe Bay was incredible!

The house, furnishings and location is perfect. The beds were comfy, the living room spacious and the kitchen was stocked with every we needed. The view of the waterfront was so nice. The front porch decorated with plants and flowers was a pleasant spot to sip your morning coffee

Have never used Vrbo before and found it very easy. Would definitely use it again. The house we rented was beautiful ... fabulous water view from front porch; layout of the house was fantastic; well stocked kitchen; great open space for entertaining; master suite was beautiful with huge bathroom. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to come back again.

We had a wonderful time !
Everything was great ! Beautiful view from the front deck! The house was perfect for us . Very clean and very well decorated! Loved it !!! We ate lots of great food… Went to Lennys, dockside, high tide and los Hermanos. Recommend renting a golf cart, we didn’t… But think we should have.

Post Summer Get-away
We all had a wonderful time at this property in Colonial Beach. At first, we wanted to get away from everything, but we realized a lot of beach destinations were a hike from civilization. We decided on this house and location because of the beautiful view, the property and it's proximity to shops and restaurants, while still be quiet. This was it!! Great service when we had questions, welcoming home, and spacious for the 2 couples that stayed. Would definitely come back!

Coffee on the porch
The front porch is where it’s at. We enjoyed our coffee in the morning and our wine in evening there. Liked that the bedrooms and baths are opposite sides of the house. Great for couples traveling together. House is in nice location, just a little bit away from town but still totally walkable (about 15 minutes). Next time we will get a golf cart to zip around in for the fun of it. We go this weekend for the Colonial Beach 5k and to visit Ingleside Winery. Had dinner at Los Hermanos and Oomboom, both tasty. Owner was very pleasant and would definitely stay here again.

A sweet little spot not too far from home...
You're going to love it! This is a great home close to the water, restaurants and bars. It had all of the amenities that we needed as a family of five. We enjoyed sitting out on the porch, playing games, bird watching and playing ball in the yard. The host was responsive and accommodating of our needs (even offered an air mattress for our extra kiddo)... And the home was SO clean! The beaches are a short walk or ride away! Although it is not necessary, we would recommend renting a golf cart because it made the experience so much fun!
