Cheery, Peaceful Water Front Cabin on Winery Grounds

This serene and rustic cabin is on the Ingleside Vineyard's property. Have a glass or two of wine and walk around the vineyards and then retreat to your own private a-frame cabin oasis. A beautiful view of the Roxsbury Estate where abundant wildlife can be viewed all around the property and the pond is stocked and ready to be fished. Within driving distance to wineries, Stratford Hall, George Washington & James Monroe's birthplace, Westmoreland State Park, and the beach town of Colonial Beach.

There is no WIFI but most have great cell service, it's extremely private with an abundance of nature to view, and a full kitchen MINUS a oven and dishwasher, although there is a hot plate, toaster oven, and microwave. There are WINDOW AC units that do an amazing job of cooling down the little cabin too. It has everything you need for a relaxing stay.

It is rustic and private and with any cabin in the woods we make every effort to keep pests away but sometimes things are inevitable even with pest treatment regularly.

The property is very cute and small but it has everything you need! The nearby beach is very peaceful and enjoyable, we loved our stay here! And there’s a Thai restaurant with a very welcoming and warm service as well! Just a few huge ants got on the bed while we were trying which is kind of terrifying, but other than that, everything is very good!

My partner and I just spent a weekend at this cabin and it was exactly what we needed to hit the refresh button. So quaint and cozy the views are amazing. Highly recommend this place of a little weekend away. ❤️❤️

Nice getaway from DC area
We loved the location of this cabin. It was perfect for a trip to westmoreland state park and fossil beach. The winery next door has delicious wine! The home was clean and comfortable. I would go back!

Wonderful, rustic retreat
Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at your property. We were able to unwind in the remote location, fishing was a blast and it was just a short trip to a great winery. We were close to the beach and were able to take in the food and fun in Colonial Beach. Thank you again for a wonderful mini-vacation.

Quiet Getaway
We stayed here for 2 nights. It was nice to getaway from the city. The place was clean and welcoming. They even had a Christmas tree up in the living room which was a sweet surprise. Our kids enjoyed staying here as well. Ingleside vineyards is a 5 minute walk away. Food was great at the restaurants in Colonial Beach. Would recommend if looking for a quiet weekend.

Lovely getaway!
My husband and I wanted to sneak out of the city for a few days. This property was perfect - so private and secluded, but walking distance to the winery and a 15 minutes drive from the beach. They also got the fire pit ready for us, which was a nice touch. Loved it so much we spontaneously added an extra night to the trip.

Cute Cabin in the Woods
Gorgeous view of a pond with ducks and geese galore. We also saw a red tailed hawk, a flock of robins, and an owl and heard woodpeckers. Lots of frogs and peepers. The cabin was comfortable and well stocked. No complaints to speak of. A really nice winery right next door.

Quiet and relaxing
The property is easy to access and the house is filled with natural light from the huge windows. It’s a wonderful getaway if you want to unplug and enjoy a cozy few days of quiet. We found a waterfront Mexican restaurant nearby and walked to the winery next door. It’s very clean and the host is very responsive if you have any questions. Loved drinking coffee on the deck while enjoying the peaceful pond view. Left relaxed and refreshed!

A Lovely, Quiet Christmas
The house was extremely cute and cozy. It was great that we could bring our pups, too. The owners were nice enough to put up a Christmas tree for us and it was just the relaxing retreat we were looking for this holiday. The communication on site was great even through the crazy weather and extreme temps. Would highly recommend for a couple.

Lovely A-frame home
This little cabin is a delight. It I nestled in the woods in the country next to a winery. The linens were clean as well as the cabin itself. Amy, the host, was attentive and ensured our stay was a positive experience. We loved the local park and the town of Colonial beach is quaint. This is definitely a place you can spend several days without leaving and feel completely peaceful. I highly recommend this as a place to disconnect from the world.

Great View
We loved our stay! From the moment we walked in, we kept saying "this is just so cute!" The house is clean and welcoming. The view of the lake is incredible. There is a house next door, but far enough away not to be bothered by it. We ended up staying inside more than planned because of the weather, but we had everything we needed (and the view, again, didn't hurt). The second room is a lot bigger than it looks in pictures, so we may bring the kids next time! Thanks for a great stay.

Cozy A frame retreat
This was a wonderful retreat in a nice quiet area. We woke up each day and ejoyed breakfast on the back deck while watching birds and other wildlife on the property. This cabin gives great off the grid vibes. There was no wifi or cable tv which was great for us because it really allowed us to disconnect from our typical city living back home in Boston and take in the wonderful surroundings. The host amy was great and very responsive and she really does keep a beautiful home.

Relax without distraction
If you are looking for all the modern conveniences this is not for you. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing place on the water, this is for you. A winery next door and it’s actually good. A pond with sun fish, bass, bald eagles, hawks and osprey. No cable! Small and comfy. We actually slept for 10 hours one night! We never sleep that long. It’s an A frame in the woods. Would stay here again.

Weekend Wine Getaway
My husband and I booked this little retreat months ago. Then my father passed away at the end of March. We almost cancelled this trip. I’m SO glad we didn’t. This is exactly what we needed! The house is adorable and comfortable. It’s so peaceful and calming. The no TV was a nice break from the world. We did have cell service. It’s literally on the property of Ingleside Winery. So, if you’re a wine lover it’s perfect. They offer great wines! Colonial Beach is a short drive away for restaurants and fun. But we enjoyed kicking back at the house and listening to music and drinking wine. Perfect place to unplug and recharge!
