"A wonderful boutique hotel with only 7 rooms right on the Rio de Plata. Best room is room 7 with balcony on the river. Service was great. Restaurant was a wonderful setting on the river with a limited menu. But enough choice for anyone and really good quality food. One of the very best around. "

"Had to take the ferry from Colonia to BA this trip. The savings instead of taking the Fransico almost pays for the night but not really But Colonia is a beautiful little town and well worth visiting. We had just the afternoon there but was a great break for us Hotel is calm with song birds in the trees. Bed was truly excellent. Nice tea set up in the den area and very well situate to walk the old town or to the ferry or bus Terminals. We enjoyed it a lot!"

"Decoded to come to Colonia for an overnight trip from Buenos Aires and so glad we did!! Quaint hotel that has rooms around a gorgeous central courtyard and efficient use of space. Bathrooms we clean and gorgeously created from a historic building. Rooms were ready early by a few hours. Continental breakfast was good with a second story view of the river. Also guests get a discount at their sister hotel on the river"

"Location was great- walkable to/from ferry and bus terminal. Also close to heart of historic area and also more modern shopping and restaurant area. Breakfast excellent also. Only improvement could be room door keys-very old locks and hard to lock- never could figure out how to lock from inside."
