Beautiful Family-Friendly Home On All-Sport Palmer Lake! 3 Bedroom - 3 Bath.

Welcome to The Palmer House!

Sleeps 12. Master and Guest bedroom on 1st floor each have queen beds. Upstairs loft has two twins. Upstairs bedroom sleeps 8 (1 queen, 4 twins and bunk beds ).

Whether you enjoy fishing, water-sports, wild-life, shopping, apple picking or just getting away from it all you will love our home in Southwest Michigan. Our house is mainly suited to family vacations. The house is situated on a shady tree-lined lot with a very gentle slope to water (great for kids). A 30' dock and a 40' dock with a large platform are included for your use. The 40' dock has steps into the water for easy access to a sandy bottom swim area (1 foot deep at bottom of stairs). You'll love the spacious setting and wide open views of the entire lake.

- Weber gas grill (connected to house gas line)

- Open concept design with great views to the lake!
- Dining table that seats 10+ and island bar seating for 3.

- Laundry/mud room.
- Upstairs loft area with two twin beds and couch
- Upstairs bedroom sleeps six (Queen, 2 Twins and Bunks)

Wireless internet, Cable TV, DVD Player, and stereo with phone jack for your music are all included for your use. Cabinet in dining area has books, DVD's and games for your use while visiting.

Things to do: Ski, tube, swim, fish and boat on 440 acre Palmer Lake. Enjoy Amish country…only 30 miles to Shipshewana, a charming Amish town with great food and shopping. Minutes away to several golf courses. Nearby orchards for apple and fruit picking. 60 minutes to Notre Dame for a fall football game.

Relaxing family getaway

Beautiful lake front property
Perfect location for a Farrand Hall wedding or dinner. Just 7 minutes from FH, grocery, and all that Colon has to offer.This place has everything you need for a great home away stay. Owner is extremely accommodating and flexible. He makes it a very comfortable and easy place to stay. It may be just a 3 bedroom home, but it's set up so perfectly for a fun family trip with the huge loft/rackroom on the 2nd floor. Great for kids/aunts/uncles, etc. Do the kayak thing or simply sit on the deck and enjoy the beautiful view. Perfect either way.

Great Palmer Lake Stay
Excellent lake front hous e with room for up to 12. Quiet all sports lake even on the weekend that we were there. Owner responds promptly to messages. AC cools both 1st floor and upper level very well, thus very comfortable day and night, even on hot day or evening. Small town of Colon nearby and setting in farm area. Very nice dining options within about 20 minutes. Yoder's Country Market in Centerville, Mainstreet Smokehouse in Mendon, and Prairies Lake Tavern with very good dinner options are among the places to go. Meijer stores in Sturgis and Coldwater along with small town grocery in Colon. Would definitely stay here again. Had 22ft tritoon delivered to Palmer Lake boat access by vacationpontoonrental.com located near Angola, IN (40 miles away) for tubing and to swin from.

Comfortable and peaceful get-away
We rented this home as a place for our family to stay while we prepared for a family wedding at a location nearby. Overall, it was a great fit for this purpose. While those attending to the wedding prep were away, those staying at the home were able to comfortably relax in the space while enjoying the beautiful view of the water, and of course do some fishing (that was the favorite part for most). Thank you so much for sharing your home! We had a great time. :)

Best spot on the Lake
This was our second stay here for a family golf weekend! Jim’s place is so welcoming, so clean, and so well equipped! Perfect spot on the lake, use of kayaks are a plus!! Outdoor living space so perfect complete with string lights and fire pit! We hope to return yearly! Thank you Jim for another wonderful stay! We were very lucky to have weather just as perfect as your place!

This home had a nice location on a pretty lake. It suited our needs well; however, the blue Adirondack chairs in the picture were not there, just a few plastic chairs for the fire pit (not enough for our group of 6) but they did the job. Owner offered plenty of firewood; however, which was great! He was very responsive and helpful when we had questions. Also, the indoor fireplace was not operational which we had hoped to use on chilly nights, otherwise the home had everything we needed for a great stay, beautiful views and fairly clean. The only entry into the super murky water was from the dock (which was stated in the description) but the lounge chairs on the dock were nice. The kitchen was very well stocked, and we appreciated that. The busy bird feeders around the home were a nice touch! Overall, we had a marvelous time and would recommend this lovely home.

Wonderful Stay
A great place to stay and Jim was wonderful to work with. The house was great for our 2 families and the 'older' boys (9yrs old) loved having their own hangout and sleeping area in the loft. We enjoyed fishing, grilling, swimming, kayaking. The kitchen was wonderfully stocked with everything we could have needed.

Perfect Family vacation
We had an amazing stay at this lake house. Jim the owner was quick to reply with any questions we had as this was our first time renting a lake house. The kayaks were the perfect way to enjoy the lake. The layout and setup was ideal for a large family stay. The fire pit by the lake was a perfect way to end a relaxing day on the lake. Kids not only enjoyed the kayaks but also swimming and fishing off tue docks. I would highly recommend this house and plan on returning

Wonderful location
You can’t beat the location of this home! We were right on the water with super easy access for our boat. The kids loved swimming off the dock and the water was shallow enough they could walk in from the dock stairs. The lake and surrounding homes were quiet and it was such a relaxing atmosphere! Check in and check out were easy and host communication was great. We highly recommend this property for your next lake getaway!

Amazing location and property!
We chose this location for a relaxing family vacation that allowed us to do plenty of fishing, some off-roading and some local sight seeing. The owners are amazing and responded very quickly with any questions we had. The check in/check out process was very easy and the property was extremely clean with plenty of space for our family of 2 adults and 2 kids (8 and 11). We had an amazing time, caught numerous fish, off the docks, (bluegill and catfish) and made tons of new memories! We will definitely be back in the future!
