"Fishy smell as lobby checkin is adjacent to their restaurant which is a seafood restaurant. No big deal and the property is quite suitable for the price. Friendly and accommodating staff. Our room is in back and looks over a lot under construction but can also see the cliff with funicular with beach and fort "

"The hotel has a great location, close to important historical sites and good restaurants. The room is very comfortable, with a cozy bed and pillows, a well-equipped bathroom with a strong shower, a good breakfast, and friendly staff. The only thing I didn’t like is that during the winter months, the air conditioning doesn’t work, and it feels too warm to sleep since the window only opens a small portion, and you can hear all the noise from the street."

"We returned here for 2 nights having stayed 2 weeks ago. Staff remembered us and gave us an upgrade! Very easy walk to the beach. Hotel is very quiet and has parking. Breakfast is included and has a nice variety of food. Highly recommend this property!"

"For a fun and fanciful stay, one couldn't do any better than the Solar Antigo Luxury Coimba hotel! The decor is over the top - including a giant jacuzzi! - but the staff and location can't be beat. The hotel is well located, in the heart of Coimbra, surrounded by delicious restaurants and lovely sights to see."

"Coimbra is a very busy city with a lot of traffic that clearly creates ongoing parking challenges and general congestion. The property itself is hard to access but once you’re in, is quite good. We were upgraded to a junior suite which was excellent with a particularly good bathroom. The hotel has many group bookings and insufficient elevators so expect a wait at reception or getting to/ from your room. "The location was good, the premises were clean and comfortable. The apartment could use few small simple and actually inconsequential add ons like a decent bread knife and a couple of wine glasses. We really enjoyed our stay! A great seafood restaurant a short walk away on the beach!"

"We had a great time in this village. It's so small and quiet but still close to a ton of things to do. Also very close to the beach and some fantastic seafood. My only suggestion is to put some screens on the windows. You can't keep the windows and shades open due to flies getting into the house. The homeowners were so kind and flexible, letting us check in early on our arrival date. I would recommend this house for a quiet stay in a very friendly village.
