The Coho Cabin sits just steps away from Alaska’s famous inside passage in the idyllic town of Coffman Cove. The Cove is located on the northeast coast of the breathtakingly beautiful Prince of Wales Island in Southeast Alaska. The area is well known as a fisherman’s paradise. Salmon runs are abundant throughout the summer and into the early fall. Halibut, cod, and yellow eye are caught regularly just a few minutes from the docks. Delicious Dungeness crabs and spotted shrimp are prolific in the waters around the Cove (we have pots available for use). The nearby rivers and lakes are popular for freshwater fishing. The Lodge makes an ideal base for hunting black bear and the Sitka black tail deer in the fall. You can rent a boat for a self-guided adventure or hire a local guide.
All the community amenities are within walking distance of the Lodge, including a well-stocked convenience store and restaurant, a local watering hole, the library, the harbor and a beach park.
The Coho Cabin is brand new and fully equipped and furnished for your dream Alaskan adventure. The Cabin has two bedrooms each with a twin over full bunk bed. There is also a very comfortable full-size sleeper sofa in the living room. The cabin can sleep 5-6 people. The kitchen is fully furnished as expected. There is a full bathroom with a shower along with a separate laundry area. The outdoor space includes a gas grill and lounge chairs on the large front porch. Included with your accommodation is a dedicated room for processing and storing your fish and game, including a commercial grade vacuum packer and a freezer. We want to make sure that you can enjoy and share your catch long after your adventure ends.
