"Spotlessly clean room with the most comfortable bed and lovely bathroom - the space was just right and without clutter. The view over the piazza was perfect and breakfast was awesome in both quality and selection. We were also given a complimentary aperitivo in the evening on their rooftop bar. A 10 out of 10 !"

"I arrived at about 3 pm. The hotel was with closed and locked gates. I was sure that it was closed as I didn’t see anyone inside. About 45 minutes later the reception person arrived from home. Apparently, his shift starts at 4 pm. I asked to be upgraded from a very old building to a new one. I had to pay extra for the upgrade. I got a room in the new building which was great. Location however is in a village about 30 km from Parma. I went to dinner in the village at a traditional restaurant which was excellent. I was the only tourist there. If you can deal with a very remote location, a closed reception until 4 pm, and if you get a room in the new building, then this is actually a 5 star experience."

"The Hotel is beautifully appointed with lovely architecture, wall murals and elegant decor. The service was outstanding and the rooms were clean and comfortable. We loved the area with excellent parking right outside the hotel. The breakfast was so delicious with incredible selection of homemade cakes and marmalades and fresh cheeses and prosciutto and mortadella. "

"This is THE place to stay! This piazza is the main place in the whole of Mantua, and you'll be right next to everything. I was charmed to find myself in a room the size of an apartment, with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. I was less than charmed to find out that the Italian passion for saving energy meant that the washing machine and stove are turned off unless one stays for a month. I thought I was in a loft, but it turned out I could hear the people above me rearranging furniture until late each night, but other than that, it was charming and perfect."
