"This property honestly exceeded our expectations. Fantastic facilities, lovely shared pool with specially assigned seating for only a few other guests. All the staff we dealt with were super helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our wine and olive oil tasting with Erika. The restaurant associated with the property - Osteria del Vecchio Olivo is authentic and good value. Only a 5 minute walk up the hill to picturesque Montecarlo which has lots of good restaurants. "The property gardens and being surrounded by the hills was absolutely everything you would want from a Tuscan getaway. Our stay here was lovely and Isabella was very friendly and accommodating. The only thing that threw me off a bit was the fact that we were told that we would have to pay for our energy usage upon check in by Isabella. "Paolo’s property was perfect for me and my family. It is clean, spacious and very well presented. It is a perfect location for exploring the Garfagnana region and close to plenty of local amenities. "I loved my time at The Barn at La Poletta! My one piece of advice is: if you are traveling without a car, budget a good deal of money for taxis to come in from Viareggio or another nearby city to pick you up and take you where you want to go. But this property is lovely! A real treat. Grazie!"
