Great hotel for anyone who wants to visit the city of Coburg, perfect for citytrippers! Only thing is that the parking lot is rather limited. If you happen to have the opportunity to travel by public transportation, I would advise that option. The train station is nearby and the hotel is on a 2-minute walk from the historical city centre.

My principle complaint is a small one: I missed the fact that there were no cups for drinking. For simple things like swallowing medication or having a drink of water, it was inconvenient. I had to remember to buy a little bottle of water so we'd have something to drink out of.

We had a very bad experience with the Hotel clerk on 9/2/24 @ about 2100-2130. We arrived back from a busy day and noticed one remaining parking spot at the hotel location, however the gate would not dispense a ticket. I immediately walked to the front desk and was told by a staff remember that she was holding the Parking spot for another guest. I then asked was this policy to hold parking spots or was the policy first come first service. The Hotel staff member became very rude and even mentioned to my wife that she could in fact ask us to leave the property. Keep in mind that our stay had been for approximately 9 days and we always adhered to the parking policy, if full then park down by the local parking garage. We normally visit the IBIS in Coburg during our yearly European vacation. Sad to say we will not be visiting this property again in the future.

Tolle Lage. Wenige Meter bis zur Innenstadt. Zimmer sauber und ordentlich. Frühstück mit allem was man braucht, bei voller Auslastung aber zu wenig Plätze.

Das Hotel liegt strategisch günstig zur Coburger Innenstadt. Wenige Minuten zu Fuß und man ist auf dem Coburger Marktplatz. Das bedeutet allerdings auch, dass es in der Nähe keine Parkplätze gibt und man für 12€/Tag auf dem Hotel-Parkplatz parken muss! Obwohl das Hotel an einer viel befahrenen Strasse liegt, hört man, dank schallisolierter Fenster nichts, auch keine Züge von der Bahntrasse hinter der Strasse. Zimmer und Bad sind gut, ausreichend groß und sauber. Kleines Manko ist das Frühstück, allerdings eben typisch für Ibis (bzw. andere Budget-Ketten) - Rührei aus "Fertigei", labbrige Brötchen, grausiger Billig-Orangensaft,...! Wer die Wahl hat, bucht kein Frühstück im Hotel, sondern läuft ein paar Meter und frühstückt lieber in der Coburger Innenstadt.
