"We absolutely loved our stay, Since first stepping foot into the cabin we noticed everything was very well kept, clean, and cared for. Our host was kind and also available for any questions we may have had throughout our stay. We’re very thankful as well for the surprise bowl of snacks waiting for us in the kitchen! Waking up to the sight of deer and turkeys was a great touch each morning. Incredible yard and garden to look at in the day and a gated outdoor patio area to relax and see stars at night. Driving out to the town and towards Yosemite you are also treated to great views as you come down from the hills. Would 100% recommend as well as stay at again if we return to Yosemite. 5 star experience. "

"This was an adorable and clean place to stay! The little guest property is very private and welcoming. Check in process was very easy. I really enjoyed the hot tub after long days of hiking in Yosemite. Saw multiple hummingbirds as I sat outside and drank coffee in the morning. Everything was very clean and the bed was comfy. This place is exactly as shown in the pictures. It is a a little bit of a drive from Yosemite (1.5 hours from Yosemite valley)… However, it really is the best you can get without spending $$$$$ to stay right in the park. Furthermore, Coarsegold, Oakhurst and surrounding area are well worth exploring and we loved going to Bass Lake on the days we were not hiking. All in all, this is one of the best Vrbo properties I’ve rented. "

"This house was perfect for me and my family. We went for a weekend trip celebrating my nephew's birthday and the host was very accommodating, friendly and helpful. The house itself was spacious, beautiful and in an area where it was quiet and peaceful. This trip was very much needed for my family and we just had a wonderful time."

"We had a great time staying at Acorn Cottage. We stayed with our two young children and it was perfect. The space was clean and comfortable and Regina was very helpful and kind throughout the stay. Only recommendation is buying ice and bringing larger cups with you if you’re like me and prefer large morning iced coffees😉 10/10 recommend and would stay here again."

"The property was comfortable and mostly suited to our needs. Advertised as sleeping 17, we only found bed space for 12. We had 15, three ended up on the floor with nothing but a blanket to soften the surface. No sectional in the main room, as stated, only two well-worn leather couches and an oversized, well-worn, leather chair, none of which were suitable for sleeping. The text mentioned bugs and rodents. A few bugs found, but to find rodent droppings on the countertops and in corners and edges, while cleaning fees are being charged with every stay, was disgusting. Not likely to have been thoroughly cleaned in the recent past. A spot cleaning should have been done prior to our arrival and it would have been nice if the A/C was started prior to our arrival. Granted, we arrived during a heat wave, but it took until well into the night to cool the house. The great room is advertised for great views of the area, but the windows are too dirty to enjoy the view. The Master bedroom was nice and the bed was comfortable, but it is open to the vanity area of the bathroom with a large window. There is no blind. It was in a direct line with the sunrise and we had a full moon at night. Too much light to sleep by. Adequate kitchen implements are there, but the cooking pans have Teflon coating in the process of peeling off. The deck was nice but the patio was dirty. The grills would take hours of cleaning to be of use. 40 minutes from the Park entrance, but 3 hours from the Yosemite Valley."

"It may be 90 minutes from Yosemite National Park's entrance, but for the price of a shoebox room 45 minutes closer, you could have this. We've travelled around a bit, but this is one of our all-time highlights, whether for the quality of the house, the setting or the panoramic views. If you want to be able to walk out for a drink, or a meal, or a night out, it's not for you. If you want to have a base that's a bit off the beaten track, cook or barbecue for yourselves, and sit down to eat or drink whether on bar stools or a swinging bed-sofa, it's as good as it gets. Load up your car with all the food and drink you'll need for your stay, make those trips into Yosemite, and return to somewhere special. There are high-end restaurants that don't have better locations. And hosts Lisa and Seth were brilliant."
