"Very friendly staff. Close to city centre and Queens University. Good breakfast. Hotel clean. Shower was in the room which might be an issue if travelling with friends not family. Toilet light was automatic and stayed on for ages, also switched on randomly in middle of the night. Air con switches off after a relatively short amount of time (to conserve energy) so we often were woken up in the middle of the night in a boiling hot room."

"Excellent family hotel. Really close to everything. It has everything you need for a wonderful stay. Lots of staff making sure everything is perfect. This morning we woke up to the hotel lobby and restaurant transformed for Easter! Such a nice gesture. "

"Great location but no parking and belfast loves to collect money from parking tickets. Parking expensive around that area. Great bar, restaurant, good bar service. Room was okay, bed said it was a king, obviously a kingsize bed in NI is alot smaller than most places! Room wasnt the cleaniest, shower decent with good waterpressure. Couch cheap, Ikea?uncomfortable. "

"Got married in belfast city hall and the team in the grand central couldnt have made the day any better. Sadly i did not get his name of the concierge on today but he was great with our car. Rebecca on reception was amazing getting our room ready, remembered us the next morning. Sean in the observatory just the nicest and genuine fella. And Ciaran who sorted out our booking. Thank you all so much we are sooo very greatful."

"The hotel decor is absolutely incredible. It really does feel like walking back in time to the early 20th century. The main bar and dining area is a wonderful room with big windows allowing plenty of natural light in. The fish and chips on offer in the main dining area was very good, I would definitely recommend that. In terms of negatives - the TV in our room didn't work, neither did the phone. "Staff were friendly and helpful, there was luggage storage available. The hotel is in a really convenient central location a short walk from City hall. The bathroom was a little tired in places but overall the room was clean and comfortable."

"Lovely space very well finished and clean as a whistle . I think we might have been the first in so very new property which offers five suites in the one building The kitchen facilities include kettle, toaster and coffee machine so no opportunity to heat anything. I think a microwave would be great addition for those of us who love porridge for breakfast 😋 Some building work going on next door but this doesn’t affect internal space experience. "

Chillaxing weekend

"My husband & i where there for a relaxing weekend & thats exactly what we got. Everything about this place is amazing. They are extending it atm & i cannot wait to go back & see what the new facilities are. The spa is small but adequate, so relaxing. Views from the hot tub are amazing. "

"The staff were fabulous - informative, helpful and cheerful. (Especially check-in - Ey up to you from the Yorkshire lasses !!) Nothing too much trouble for anyone and you were always greeted with a smile. Everywhere was lovely and clean. Breakfast was vast and very tasty. Plenty of car parking spaces. A great base from which to explore beautiful Northern Ireland. We will be back !!"

Perfect for Exploring North Coast

"Another fab stay at the Lodge, which is in a perfect location for exploring north coast. Also lovely to see familiar faces still around despite the hotel having changed ownership. Special request made at time of booking for room with walk in shower accommodated. Enjoyed a delicious evening meal in restaurant - service and food excellent. Breakfast wasn't the usual "help yourself buffet" due to the hotel being quiet, but portions were more than generous and food was well prepared and piping hot. Minor issue with payment for room which was rectified immediately when it was discovered and staff very apologetic. "
