The Ribble Valley and Forest of Bowland is fast becoming a popular gastronomic destination too, with many great pubs and restaurants serving local cuisine within a short distance from Corgill Farm Cottages. The many picturesque rural villages within the Trough of Bowland including Slaidburn, Newton and Downham, to name just a few, can all be reached within 15 minutes, and all have a village pub. The popular market town of Clitheroe, with its castle, many individual shops, bars and restaurants, is just 6¼ miles away. For cyclists, Gisburn Forest Mountain Biking Centre is only 3½ miles away and has been featured in many mountain biking books and magazines.
The beauty of this location allows visitors to explore not just Lancashire, but also the Yorkshire Dales, with the market town of Skipton, the ‘Gateway to the Dales’, located just 15 miles away.
