TreeTops is a peaceful and spacious retreat located in Clinton, Washington near the southern tip of beautiful Whidbey Island. TreeTops is just a 10-minute drive from the Clinton ferry terminal which runs every half-hour to the mainland at Mukilteo, north of Seattle. TreeTops is perched high upon a bluff above an exclusive marina on Cultus Bay surrounded by mature native trees, hence the name. From the expansive view windows or the deck you can watch cruise ships and many other vessels pass by in the shipping channel of Puget Sound with the majestic snow-covered Olympic Mountains beyond. As nature blankets you, observe the numerous wildlife including deer, bunnies, shore birds, and a nest of Eagles a mere 50 yards away. The beach on Cultus Bay is a quick walk down from TreeTops. You can experience some of the best beach combing and clam digging during low tide. Enjoy long leisurely beach walks while watching the sunrise or sunset. Two family friendly community parks are also within walking distance. The first park has a play structure with swings overlooking the beachfront. A large grassy area allows free play with activities such as frisbee, football, soccer or kite flying. The community campfire pit is a cozy gathering place for roasting s’mores and ending a perfect day spent with family and friends. A little further down the street you will find another park with a basketball court, two tennis courts, pickle ball court and children’s play area.
TreeTops was specifically designed for comfort with 2,500 square feet of guest living space. Upon your arrival, you will cross over the footbridge which leads you to the upper main floor entry. The living room, dining area, kitchen, full bathroom, laundry room, deck, and Queen bedroom (complete with library and reading space) are on this main level.
In addition for your comfort, TreeTops is fully airconditioned and heated. The living room is centrally located with a large leather reclining sectional, a 40” HDTV with hundreds of channels via DISH TV and a Blu-ray disk player. A cozy conversation corner near the gas log fireplace is complete with comfy club chairs and a couch. The cathedral ceilings and large picture windows boast spectacular views. The dining area seats six, however, you may extend the seating up to 10+ in this area with available table leaves and folding table/chairs. The kitchen has many conveniences such as: microwave, ceramic stovetop, oven, dishwasher, side by side refrigerator/freezer with filtered water/ice dispenser, Keurig with coffee pods/creamer & sweeteners, drip coffee maker, 4-slice toaster, dishware/glassware/stemware/pots & pans/utensils/numerous seasonings/trash bags/foil & plastic ziplock bags of various sizes/dish soap & dishwasher pods, and a large pantry space for all your groceries. Please note the entire community is on a septic system and therefore we do not have an in-sink garbage disposal. Two bar stools at the kitchen counter are a casual eating option or the counter can be utilized as a buffet area for large groups. Off the kitchen and dining area is a sliding glass door that leads out to the top floor deck. Beautiful views await you while eating al fresco at the 10+ person deck dining table.
Entering the Queen bedroom you will notice the expansive library with cozy reading chair/space. The Queen bed features a pillowtop mattress along with an allergen protective mattress cover and quality linens. The adjacent full-size bathroom with tub/shower combo has many fluffy white towels, stocked toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The laundry room, which is across from the bathroom, is complete with laundry detergent and cleaning supplies.
Stairs leading to the lower level of the spacious home lead to the media room. This room is the central spot for game and movie nights with a 55” HDTV with hundreds of channels via DISH TV with surround sound and a DVD player. An 8 foot table with chairs is available for working puzzles, board games or an additional dining space. The media room has French doors that lead out to the lower deck with a porch swing, stainless steel barbeque and beautiful natural landscaping.
The first bedroom downstairs houses a professional grade billiard pool table which is the hub for competitive fun entertainment. The pool table converts to a ping pong table with a convertible topper. Included in the pool room is a comfy King bed, two twin beds (all beds have allergen mattress/pillow covers with quality linens) and a loveseat. Two twin air mattresses with an electric air pump are available if needed and are located under the King bed.
The second bedroom downstairs includes a Queen bed, and a twin bunk bed over a double bed which is a perfect sleeping arrangement for five. A Pack ‘N Play portable crib with memory foam mattress, and highchair are available. All beds have memory foam toppers, allergen protective mattress covers and quality bed linens. A couch and loveseat complete this comfortable bedroom.
On this lower level you will find a cozy arrangement perfect for morning coffee and conversation with a couch, loveseat, a small kitchenette that houses a microwave, a Keurig stocked with coffee pods, creamer and sweeteners and a small refrigerator/freezer added for your convenience and comfort. An Amish-made eating nook table for 6 is an inviting breakfast or snacking spot. A full-size bathroom with tub/shower and fluffy white towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and toilet paper are provided.
Additional amenities: Vacuum, 3 card tables, 15 padded folding chairs, s’more skewers, barbeque supplies, extra propane tank, five oscillating fans scattered throughout the house, standby whole-house generator, air conditioner, extra blankets and additional linens are sure to keep everyone comfortable. Cleaning supplies are located under every bathroom sink. TreeTops media room has numerous board games, puzzles, decks of cards, and numerous books. A Kiddie Corner/toy area for kids includes a darling Victorian doll house, stuffed animals & a rocking horse. For your active enjoyment: Basketball, Tennis/pickleball rackets & balls are stored in the upstairs closet.
Adventurous and fun things to do around Whidbey Island: Beach combing and clamming, hiking, horseback riding, bicycle, kayak and boat rentals. Numerous state parks (a family favorite is South Whidbey’s Community Park and Sports Complex which is a fantastic park for kids coined “Castle Park” and is located in Langley) surround Whidbey Island. Many seasonal activities and festivals, boutique shopping, Farmer’s markets, nurseries, art galleries, amazing restaurants, breweries and tours are within a short drive.
