Perfect retreat setting!
We had a work retreat this week at the Big House Lodge, and this was the best setting for us! Not only were the rooms quiet and comfortable, but we loved the huge kitchen where our staff that love to cook could shine. We had fantastic weather so we were able to enjoy the gorgeous fall colors and sweet little pathways through the trees! Lots of mountain views and starry nights in the hot tub. The host was an excellent communicator - very prompt to respond and proactive in communicating. If you're on the fence about whether or not to book this place - you should!

We have been renting the Big House Lodge for the past 8 years and recently it has been updated. The best part about visiting in the winter is you almost always get snow. This year we got a lot of snow.

Big House Lodge- Teen Retreat
I’m honestly so happy to leave this review because we had such an awesome stay at Big House Lodge. Jessica was one of the best hosts that I have come across. We were planning a large teen retreat, and she provided us an opportunity to check out the place beforehand, she went out of her way to help with any of our issues that we would come across. You could tell that she actually wanted to make our stay pleasant, from her welcome gift to her friendliness and flexibility. We had a large group of 50 people and the house fit our group very well, it was spacious with all modern accommodations. Plenty of bedding, towels, and dishes at the house, so we did not have to pack much. The hot tub was a cherry on top in the evenings. The property had plenty of leveled land to set up a volleyball net, had its own tire swing, a firepit area, and simply beautiful serene nature around. Would highly recommend this place and hope to be able to stay there again. Big thanks from our team!!

Huge, comfortable house with great amenities
'The Big House' is everything our group hoped for and more. It has multiple indoor and outdoor areas in which to gather. The bedrooms and beds were very clean and comfortable and kitchen is well equipped. We made use of the multiple refrigerators, ice machine & BBQ as well as the multiple coffee machines. The pictures you see on the listing are great, but there's so much more than we expected and Jessica, the Property Manager, couldn't have been more friendly or accommodating. It's very hard to get 13 old guys to agree on anything, but we DID agree this place was the most comfortable place we'd stayed in our nearly 30 years of hiding our reunions.

Big House Does It Again!
This was our second time at Big House Lodge and once again we had a blast! The bang for your buck is hard to beat. We had a group of around 20 and there was still more than enough room for each of us to have brought a +1. If the pictures for this place get you excited, just wait until you see it in person! While in town someone asked if we were staying at Suncadia and we were quick to let them know that Suncadia was for peasants and people that have a hard time making friends. Obviously we were being facetious, but the space, privacy, and amenities offered at Big House are both hard to beat and hard to come by. The nearest neighbor is something like 300 yards away and while you're there it's easy to forget they exist at all. The trails through the woods add to the element of space and privacy. It's hard to pick a favorite bedroom. Each one (minus the downstairs) has its own full bath. The beds were all very comfortable and there was plenty to do around the house. There are multiple TVs, but I'm not sure we ever bothered to turn one on. The main kitchen is large and comes with two ovens and a fridge and if that's not enough, the next room over is basically a cafeteria with two more fridges and another oven. If the point of this place is to bring groups of friends and families closer together then it did its job while we were fortunate enough to visit. I look forward the day we get to do so again. If the nightly price has you hesitating, take into account all that it accommodates and know that the juice is worth the squeeze. Pro tip: There are multiple shuttle buses in the area that will take you into town if you call, ask nicely, and offer to throw some dollars their way. We found this to be the easiest way to hit The Brick without having to later show an officer how well you can recite your ABCs backwards or how precisely you can touch your finger to your nose. Calling and asking one of the bars in town should get you a phone number.

The pictures online do not do this place justice. It is gigantic! Everyone had a wonderful time and the location is beautiful, there were spices in the kitchen, plenty of plates/forks/knives, wood for the fire places, and a great game room for the children. I would highly recommend this place.

We were so happy with our decision to use The Big House. The pictures are accurate! There was PLENTY of room for our large Family and pets! We were so surprised at the size and accommodations! The kitchen was The absolute Best! And the "sleeping" areas allowed for some of us to retire early without interruptions from the common area. It was PERFECT. The communication was excellent and Corri met all of our needs! We Even had a beautiful Christmas tree and outdoor lighting. It set the mood! I highly recommend the Big House! Women's Retreat
We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Big House Lodge! Everything was clean and organized from the rooms to the kitchen to the outside. We came with a big group, and it was wonderful to have the kitchen stocked with the essentials. The rooms had beds with sheets and the individual bathrooms had towels which we appreciated. The loft game area and outdoor hot tub were enjoyed by our group. Outside, the view is so spectacular it almost distracts you from the coziness that is inside. We loved how quick the owners were to respond to all of our questions. We definitely recommend the Big House Lodge to everyone. The location, the capacity, and convenient layout of the lodge can't be beat.

Amazing retreat location - we'll be back!
We had 50 young adults in their twenties and thirties come here for a church retreat, and people absolutely loved the location. All of the boys slept downstairs, and the girls and families slept in the bedrooms upstairs, and it fit everyone comfortably. There were so many comfortable spots to sit and have conversations, and people never felt overcrowded, even at mealtimes when most of us were in the same two rooms. The large kitchen was extremely well-stocked - I never ended up using my backup kitchen supplies, because the kitchen had everything we needed and more! The large tables in the dining area and the kitchen were perfect for our large group, and when the weather was nice, there was ample seating outside to hang out. We had a handful of people camping outside, and they loved the grounds as well. There is more property than we had time to explore, but the hot tub, tire swing, and trail down to the river were definite highlights for people. The house is in an amazing location far away from other houses as well, so we felt comfortable hanging out outside late at night, knowing full well that we wouldn't be disturbing any neighbors. It was just remote enough to feel like we had so much space to ourselves, but it was also really nice having a Safeway just 10 minutes away when we realized we forgot something. Having multiple fridges was extremely helpful when feeding so many people, and we never actually ran out of fridge space. I would HIGHLY recommend this property for large gatherings and/or family reunions, and I'm so grateful that we got to stay here!

Big house is likely to become an annual event for my friends and I
Bug House Lodge was everything I had hoped it would be and then some. If the pictures for this place get you excited, just wait until you see it in person! We had a group of 26 and there was more than enough room to accommodate all of us. The hottub was a good size and heated quickly. There was yard game equipment for us to use on the back deck and a tire swing in the woods that us (average of) thirty year old dudes had more fun on than we'd likely be willing to admit. The trails through the woods added an element of space and privacy. The nearest neighbor is something like 300 yards away and while you're there it's easy to forget that they exist at all. It's hard to pick a favorite bedroom. Each one (minus the downstairs) has it's own full bath. The beds were all very comfortable and there was plenty to do around the house. If the nightly price has you hesitating, take into account all that it accomodates and know that the juice is worth the squeeze. Pro tip: There's a guy named Kevin that will come pick you up in a party bus and take you into town if you call, ask nicely, and offer to throw some dollars his way. We found this to be the easiest way to bar hop without having to later show an officer how well you can recite your ABCs backwards or how precisely you can touch your finger to your nose. Best place to stay in Cle Clum. We had a great experience here. It was our second visit to this house and we really enjoyed staying here. There was enough place for almost 50 of us to sleep. There are two kitchens and a hot tub. And there is also bonfire place. It was a great place to stay and we would love to come back here for more events!
