"The property had everything we needed. Sitting outside in the evening was very nice. The log burner was cosy after the sun went down. It was only a few minutes drive to the local shop and distillery. That being said,some mould remover and a lick of paint wouldn't go amiss. shop and distillery."

"The cottage is cosy, clean and very inviting. Shiskine is a wonderful place to stay, quiet and very appealing. It's very close to Blackwaterfoot, which is beautiful. The Kinloch Hotel does marvellous meals (takeaways too). What really makes the stay worthwhile is the landlady, Jan. Last year, when we couldn't get off the island due to ferry problems, Jan put us up for an extra with no charge. "If you are looking for a slower paced experience, this is a lovely place to stay. The neighbors are friendly, and the tavern at the end of the road had wonderful food and good service. The village was peaceful and charming. It was easy to get to almost anywhere in Scotland with 3-5 hour drives. The road in to the village is quaint and you need to take your time getting in. Can’t wait to come back."
