Property is a condo that was divided into hotel rooms. No reception desk. Had to go up stairs to get to the elevator to get to our room. No restaurant. No concierge. Not a hotel. Noisy building. Way overpriced.

No communication from property and if there was then it was too late. This is not a hotel but a private residence! You need a code to get in the building and to the supposed “suites”. Phone calls were never answered, text messages or what’s app messages were answered hours or even a day later. Absolutely horrible and for them to charge me for not even being in the property once is horrible, glad I have travel insurance.

There was no communication from Riveria Suites. We called and texted and no response. We were unable to go in and leave our luggage we stood outside for 2 hrs with 6 bags of luggage. This is terrible customer service and I want a refund. We had to scrabble to get a room with 5 ships in harbour.

This property was very hard to access, poor details from the start with no access initially to the property, had to ring agent to gain access to building, very poor access and stairs to climb with baggage to a very cramped lift Stairs were used to access the apartment and try to get entry into apartment Overall we would not recommend this apartment for travellers

If you are looking for a Hotel experience, this is not it. it seems like the owner, who was nice, had rented or purchased a few apts in an apt building, but when we arrived at 1:30pm, we had to wait in a non-airconditioned lobby, until 3 pm when he arrived to let us in and the heat was unmerciful.If you a senior citizen be aware that you have to walk up one flight of stairs to get the elevator

We travelled from overseas and didn't have WiFi The instructions to enter property should be given in advance. The floor was dusty. We were given breakfast (coffee and pastry) after we went out and paid for our own breakfast. Again poor communication.Not for family

Easy for catching the ferry
Good location, easy place to stay when catching a ferry. No bells and whistles. Not the cleanest (needs a deep clean.) would recommend bedside lights as no treading lights.

Location is great for cruise terminal. We had no idea how to check in. Fortunate we followed someone into the building and the cleaning staff answered door. We arrived early so happy we could leave luggage in room while we walked around The room was generally clean but there were several small ants on the desk.

Unresponsive Property Owner After traveling 18 hours from Boston to Civitavecchia (Rome port town), we arrived at 8pm to discover there was NO WATER in sink, shower, or toilet. I texted the property owner and he said he’d look into it. We returned from dinner at 10pm and found nothing had been done. When I texted the property owner again he said there was nothing he could do. He also agreed that he’d process a full refund which he has yet to do.

Check in process was horrible. There was no communication with any site personnel. There was supposed to be a reception desk but there is no reception desk. The front of the building is locked and in need of a code. We were not provided that. We snuck inside after someone else left the building and found that Riviera Suites was on the second floor. That door was locked. The gelato owner next door phoned the owner on our behalf and we were able to provide the correct codes for both doors. Once inside the second floor were 3 rooms but no reception. We were never provided codes. The free “breakfast” was in a small cafe a few blocks away and only included a cup of coffee and a pastry. There was no tissue paper, no Wi-Fi password and no coffee cups or enough coffee k cups for the Nespresso machine inside the room.
