With our apartment you can expect a picturesque jewel on 150 square meters, in a medieval village on a ridge on the Riviera in front of the French border, between Imperia u. San Remo. The apartment gets its flair from old furniture, cross vaults (15th century), trompe l’oeil wall painting, art nouveau windows in the room doors, old mirrors and art nouveau lamps, cotto flooring, valuable fabrics and its special color tones. The 25 sqm terrace overlooks olive groves to the Mediterranean. There are three bedrooms with up to 5 -6 beds in total (see below), a large medium-sized living room, well-equipped kitchen, large bathroom, large hallway, satellite TV, laundry and dishwasher.

Walking and hiking trails around the village lead to the Campagna or high in the mountains to villages, mountain huts and trattorias. There are festivals with dancing and local cuisine on weekends in summer. Boats can be rented on the seaside. Olive mills can be visited in Diano San Pietro and Gazzelli. San Remo has a charming old town and is pretty chic. The golf course is also worth a visit, as is the pop music festival in February and the chanson festival at the end of October, as well as the fireworks world championship and the casino (as well as in Monaco). In Imperia you can visit a beautiful olive oil and shipping museum, which is also interesting for children, an indoor swimming pool, cinemas, a theater and beautiful weekly markets three times a week. Sightseeing flights at Albenga airport. San Remo, Menton, Monte Carlo, Opio-Valbonne and Garlenda near Alassio offer golf courses as well.
The botanical garden Hanbury near Ventimiglia is dreamlike, as is the particularly beautiful beach 'Balzi-Rossi' in Ventimiglia. The Toirano caves are well worth a visit, as are the medieval towns of Cervo, Bussana Vecchia, Badalucco, Molini di Triora and Dolceacqua.
Antique markets in Arma di Taggia and San Lorenzo (3rd Sunday each) and Mondays in Nice (approx. 1 hour away), big show and excursion every year in mid-September with historic sailing ships from all over Italy in Porto Maurizio (s.https: / /www.veledepoca.com/)
The next beachside village is San Lorenzo. There is a bike rental for the long bike path right by the sea leading to Sanremo.

Attractive coastal cities are Genoa with its spectacular aquarium, San Remo, Menton, Monaco, Nice, Antibes and Cannes. These destinations can be reached quickly by train or bus. The Toirano caves near Albenga are one of the largest in Europe, hippodrome in Garlenda / Albenga, international artists' village Bussana Vecchia, aquarium and shipping museum in Genoa, festival of chamber music in the picturesque village of Cervo, Formula One in Monaco, film festival in Cannes, Rallye Monte Carlo, Wineries in Piedmont.
Excursions into the wild hinterland with the characteristic mountain villages. The excellent cuisine in Piedmont, the landscape south of Turin with its vineyards, can be reached in two hours. There are idyllic places with venerable top restaurants (truffles from October) and great wines. Winter sports resorts in the Maritime Alps can be reached in one or two hours.
Via Civezza there are many opportunities for hiking through vineyards and olive groves, shady chestnut forests, past springs and streams, over alpine pastures to the heights of the alpine Alta Via Ligure, the Ligurian high-altitude trail.
Sea, coast and beach: Swimming, snorkeling and surfing are possible until November (water temperature is over 18 degrees until then) at the nearest sandy beaches of Santo Stefano, Porto Maurizio and San Lorenzo. In San Lorenzo al Mare, the nearest beach town, there is also a small port where boats can be rented, sand and pebble beaches and rocky coasts. The larger and more elegant seaside resorts Diano Marina, Bordighera (1/2 hour) or the Côte d'Azur (1 hour) are not far away.
In high summer you can also swim in the mountain streams and lakes, e.g. in the deep rock pools under waterfalls at the old pilgrimage church in Lecchiore, north of Civezza. Or hike in the cool mountain heights and stay overnight in mountain huts.
The aquarium (the largest in Europe) in Genoa is highly recommended: on 10,000 square meters of exhibition space you can watch 600 different fish and animal species.
