We have spend a great week at Vasciano, The house is beautiful , fully equipped with everything one can need .
View spectacular , flowers and herbs make wonderfull senses . unforgettable evenings watching the stars . during the day a fantastic pool or room game ,
One minus - to short for sure , one week is not enough!
Fantastic holiday , pool was wonderful , every need catered for .
The house is wonderful and the garden and loggia are fantastic . We also really enjoyed the games room .
The road is quite challenging and not for the faint hearted . The location is wonderful but being rural takes a little time to get to anywhere .
Spacious home with character restored with care and love
Inspiring views across the valley rain or shine
Comfortable beds with quality linens
Large functional kitchen
Carol was wonderful for communication.
Drive up dirt road is harrowing but worth it!
Thank you
We will be back
Torneremo sicuramente!
We have just returned from a week in Vasigno. 2 families, 6 young people from 16 -24. So many things to do around the house, meant we barely ventured fourth. House, pool, garden, views and the many eating areas just lovely. Only comment being, remember to take enough bug spray as they were there in force. But even so 10/10 holiday. The Theron family
Our trip was wonderful...yes, the villa is more beautiful than the pictures. I only wish we stayed another week to enjoy it more—-Next time we will!

Absolutely fantastic!!!
I rented Vasciano for two weeks in 2018 to celebrate my 50th birthday with friends and family. The house and grounds overexceeded my expectations even after seeing the beautiful pictures on the website. Waking up to the sunrise over the Umbrian hills every morning was a particular treat. The house is beautifully decorated, outfitted with everything you might possibly need, and the gardens are stunning. We even picked fresh rosemary and figs to supplement our meals. Piers and Carol were very helpful helping us plan before we got there, including recommending a local cooking school which was one of the highlights of our trip (Agriturismo Calagrana). They also helped us order food and a pre-cooked meal for our first night there, which was a godsend after the long flight from the US (the lasagna was delicious). I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking to truly enjoy the Italian countryside.

Hidden gem in the Umbrian hills
Beautiful villa with a gorgeous view, away from the main road and very quiet and with an amazing view over the valley and hills. The villa was spotless clean with a big kitchen with all the required equipment. We have been traveling to quite some bigger family holiday homes, but this is the first one with 5 proper bedrooms.
Outside there are many options to sit, we liked a lot the roofed terras in front of the main entrance in the shade is nice and the view amazing
The pool area was also very nice, we are really considering to stay here again.

Quintessential villa!
I’m reticent to write about how fabulous is Villa Vasciano but I wish we were still there. The layout and accommodations are way better than what you see in the literature provided online. We recently had our wedding there (the reception) and couldn’t have picked a better site. The view is spectacular; the grounds exquisite; and the home completely comfortable.
The location is very convenient to many historical towns. You can easily drive to the local grocery in Umbertide and many quaint and quality restaurants are within minutes. The owners are very accommodating and communicative and we truly appreciate everything! Piers and Carol....we shall return!!!

idyllic house, beautifully restored
the house itself is full of character and beautifully furnished, with lovely rugs and interesting old pieces. There is even a piano which has a nice tone and is in tune! The kitchen is terrific - we found all the gadgets we wanted and there is plenty of fridge space.
The house is on lots of levels and has little staircases and passage ways - full of interest and surprise, with a wonderful wide landing leading into a huge high-ceilinged, upstairs sitting room.
The outside eating places are many and varied - everywhere pots of tumbling flowers and walls hanging with blossoming climbers. The garden flows between different levels and has great views, lots of comfy seating in shade and sun and a tinkling water trough - very soothing!
So many great little towns to visit nearby.

Perfect Umbrian holiday villa for all types of holiday person : active or lounging
The house, gardens and pool exceeded our expectations in loveliness. The house and gardens were blisssfully peaceful and lounging on the terraces was gorgeous. It was also raucously good fun messing around in the lovely big pool. Great area for walks, nature, food and sightseeing.
The house is characterful and very well equipped for all sorts of entertainment.
The house instructions were very easy to follow and help was always on hand.

Great great great!
We were a party of 10 (inc 4 children under 6) and thoroughly enjoyed the villa, its facilities, its feel and its location. The pool was great - steps for the littlest ones, shallow enough for the younger ones and deep enough for diving for the bigger kids. The space around it was much appreciated too. The villa was fascinating and had everything we needed to be entertained without compromising on comfort. It is obviously a well loved family home. The flowers and vegetation were stunning. We particularly savoured the views over the Tuscan hills each evening - a lovely spot to watch the moon rise. We enjoyed a visit to Lake Trasimeno and to nearby restaurants inc with vineyards too.

A place you will never forget!
Vasciano and the surrounding area will take your breath away. This fall (2016) will be our 13th visit. If you have time, a two week stay is perfect as you can relax at home and explore the area leisurely. The house is perched up on a hill with gorgeous views of the surrounding valley and mountains. Very private but a short drive to all of your needs. Three dining areas outside - 2 covered. And that is not including all of the space around the pool. The landscaping is beautiful and the house itself is very clean, modern gourmet kitchen, washer/dryer, comfy beds, formal dining room. I wouldn't change a thing. The local caretaker (speaks perfect English) is available nearby but we have never needed her. If you can get yourself to leave the property, visit Gubbio, Montone, Cita di Costello, a few of the hidden gems. And the restaurant Mimi's in nearby Mercatale is an inexpensive experience. Go hungry, they just keep bringing food (no menu). You will have a great holiday!

Perfect holiday villa
This is our third visit to Vasciano and we will keep on coming back. The setting ie beautiful, the house is well equipped and comfortable whilst remaining homely. We have brough young children and teenagers and there is plenty to entertain them, with the pool, play area, games room and extensive DVD and board games collections.
I have been to many holiday villas and I can honestly say that nothing beats this one.

The perfect Italian hideaway.
The pictures and description of Vasciano, on the website, do not do it justice. When we walked through that little pair of wrought iron gates, at the entrance, the only thing we could think of, was Wow!!! and if somewhere has the wow factor, it certainly is this property. The facilities and equipment for exceeded our expectations, it was like being at home, in Italy. The outside space, for a large family gathering, was extremely well thought out. It gave us the opportunity to find some quality quiet time to relax, read or simply just enjoy the stunning views and it was also great for getting together to enjoy all the local produce, that we very adeptly turned into some fantastic meal times, not forgetting the local wines. Take a trip to 'I Girasoli Di Sant' Andrea' and you will see what we mean. The property was spotless in its presentation, the gardens lush and well kept and the various herbs were a nice addition to our evening meals. The owners were very helpful and supportive in our preparations before our trip to Vasciano and the representative there was only a phone call away. We would recommend this property to family, friends and in fact, anyone going to Italy. The location of the property, albeit off the beaten track, was quite central to visit some of Central Italy's most beautiful sights.

Beautifully restored house in a stunning location
This old Italian house has been beautifully restored to retain many of its original features but with very up to date facilities. The kitchen is very well equipped and there is a choice of 4 different places to dine. Set on the side of a hill there are wonderful views of unspoilt countryside all around. We spent a family week at the house with our 4 young grandchildren. They loved the pool and the games room and there was a lot of things in the house for their amusement. The house had been well cleaned when we arrived and the garden and pool were maintained during the week. We loved the gardens and the variety of different places to sit, relax and enjoy the views. There are plenty of places to visit within easy driving distance, Perugia, Umbertide, Lake Trasimeno, Cortona, Montepulciano. Pienza and Sienna. However it is very tempting to just laze around and enjoy the house and garden. The access is perhaps a bit challenging if you are a very nervous driver, but it is well worth the effort. The owners have been most helpful and friendly throughout and we would love to return some time in the future

Wonderful - even prettier than the pictures!
We were a group of 7 adults and 5 children (ages 3 months - 6 years) who stayed at Vasciano for one week over Easters, and it was really quite special.
First off - the owners were extremely helpful from the start, and provided us with all information we could possibly need.
While at the location, we had been provided with a number of people we could easily get in touch with in case we needed assistance. Even so, the owners called to make sure we were doing alright upon our arrival.
The house is gorgeous and perfect for sharing with friends or a big family. Kitchen is well equipped and the house has got all you'd need and more during a vacation. The surrounding areas are just gorgeous, and the garden is so beautiful with breathtaking views.
Location is great for exploring the must sees in Tuscany and Umbria, but for us, having traveled around the area before, just staying put in the house and enjoying the scenery right there was also perfect.
We highly recommend renting! I can also recommend the cooking service with chefs coming over to prepare typical Italian meals.

Italian country retreat
What a wonderful week - 7 of us from Australia and Canada found this huge character-filled old farmhouse up a winding country road in the most stunning garden setting with views over the Niccone valley. Everything we needed was thoughtfully provided including comfortable bedrooms, modern bathrooms, heaps of linen, all manner of cooking needs including BBQ, herbs/spices etc, two different outside eating areas and free internet access. The pool was used daily and provided a relaxing alternative to sightseeing. Sunday lunch overlooking nearby Lake Trasimeno, trips to local Cortona, as well as Orvieto, Florence, Assissi and lesser known local towns were all part of our lovely holiday. A nearby village with small supermarket, cafe for coffee and icecream was useful, and we ate at a traditional italian restaurant recommended in the owners "guidebook" . We would love to return some time in the future ..... one day maybe.
