FARM OF THE OLD BRIDGE OF THE CABRUM

Imagine a secret garden in the hills of the lower Douro, with many terraces for grape vines, hundreds of cherry trees, and many other fruit trees. You can lose yourself in this beautiful paradise of (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) hectares) - walking around the Quinta, relaxing by the pool, or reading on one of the terraces overlooking the Douro river. You have access to different towns in northern Portugal.

The space

The 6 bedrooms are all spacious, each easily sleeping two. One suite (bedroom with small doublebed, bathroom, private terrace), 2 bedrooms each with 2 single beds put together (almost like king bed) which can also be pulled apart if desired - both bedrooms with terrace access, three bedrooms with doublebed overlooking the front garden.

Common living room / dining room of 70m2 with access to terrace, Television, Wifi. (Wifi signal is sufficient for moderate consumption but not for 10 people using simultaneously.)

Fully-furnished kitchen with dishwasher, laundry, no clothes dryer but hung clothes dry very quickly outside.

Downstairs you have the original stone house with a second living room / games room (ping pong table, small table soccer, darts). Television in upstairs living room and downstairs.
Second dining room downstairs. 3 fireplaces. The original stone house keeps very cool in the summer and is wonderful for relaxing away from the heat.

Want to leave the Farm to buy groceries or try some local food? There is a coffee shop, couple small stores, and a local restaurant in Oliveira do Douro (3 km). Small shops, hotel, restaurant in Caldos de Aregos (5 km). Many more restaurants, shops and supermarkets in Cinfaes (11km) or Resende (11km). Local markets and festivals at many times during the year.

The surroundings are unique - offering lots of beautiful walks, a water hole for swimming (and jumping for the brave!), many beautiful places to discover. Check out the spa and marina in Caldos de Aregos (5km), the views from Sao Joao Rock (7km), a historic train ride to the center of the Porto wine region (Regua, 25km). If your budget allows, consider a boat trip along the Douro river. Distances from nearby towns: Calda de Aregos 2km, Cinfaes 11km, Resende 11km, Regua 25km, Lamego 40km, Guimaraes 60km, Braga 70km, Vila Real 40km, Amarante 25km, Porto 70km.

A 3600€ la semaine, nous avons voulu louer une villa tout confort pour passer une semaine en famille inoubliable. D'après les avis et les photos, tout semblait parfait à part le côté d'époque de la décoration. Il s'agit d'une villa avec un potentiel fou mais mal entretenu. Les 2 points positifs du logement sont la personne qui gère le logement pour le propriétaire qui est très gentille et réactive et la piscine qui est plus grande que sur les photos. Sinon la piscine est mal située (à + de 50m de la maison), mal exposé ( au soleil le matin seulement ), non chauffée et refroidit en permanence par de l'eau de source car elle fuit. L'équipement de la cuisine n'est pas à la hauteur d'un logement pour 12 personnes : 1 seul frigo, le four est en très mauvais état. Les salles de bains sont typiques mais très mal entretenu. les 3 salles de bains sont à refaire complétement et ne donne pas très envie de se laver dedans. La salle de jeux est très belle et grande mais n'est pas à la hauteur du prix. Il y a une télé des année 80 qui ne sert à rien, un jeux de fléchettes sans fléchettes et une table de tennis de tables en mauvais état et 4 raquettes en très mauvais état. La situation de la maison est certes au calme mais loin de tout. la vue n'est pas celle de la photo. On voit le douro depuis le logement mais juste un petit triangle entre les montagne et en plus pas en face du logement. Au final, le prix du logement est exorbitant par rapport au prestation fournie.

Cumpriu com as expectativas
A casa é como anunciada. Grande, numa localização calma e com uma bela piscina. Os quartos estavam limpos e eram grandes. A cozinha, casas de banho e todo o espaço do andar de baixo estavam muito bem conservados. Só tivemos alguns problemas com picadas de insetos, mas faz parte da ruralidade. Recomendo.

A casa é bastante grande e com muito espaço para um grupo grande de amigos, apesar de já estar bastante antiquada e com algumas falhas a nível dos banhos e equipamentos. Tem umas vistas espetaculares e uma área envolvente aprazível, convida ao descanso. A área envolvente da piscina é pequena e sombria, mas a piscina é boa. Gostámoso muito da simpatia e acolhimento feito pela Da. Mena.

belle propriété
la maison est très agréable et spacieuse. la vigne et le verger apportent de la fraicheur et la vue est magnifique. par contre, les salles de bain sont vétustes et auraient besoin d'être refaites. nous avons eu un problème dans l'une d'entre elle et l'avons tout de suite signalé. nous avons été très bien accueillis par Mme Mena et garderons un bon souvernir de notre séjour.

Vacances rustiques paisibles dans les montagnes
La propriété est très grande, avec 6 chambres, 3,5 salles d'eau et 1 séjour de taille correcte. La table du séjour accueil sans problème 10 personnes et il y a également plusieurs grandes tables en terrasse. Malheureusement, la cuisine et les salles d'eau mériteraient quelques rénovations mais le reste est très correct. Le propriétaire ainsi que la famille qui gère le logement sur place est très accueillante et intervient rapidement en cas de problème. Attention toutefois à l'espace extérieur qui n'est pas très adapté aux enfants. Cela nécessite notamment qu'ils soient toujours accompagnés pour accéder à la piscine. La propriété est accessible via de longues routes de montagne par lesquelles il faut obligatoirement passer pour visiter les alentours. Cependant, la région est très jolie et il est possible d'y trouver pas mal d'activités.

Um fim de semana incrível passado nesta propriedade. A vista magnífica da casa sobre o rio e as montanhas é de cortar a respiração aos amantes da natureza. A Sra. Mena e toda a sua simpatia e disponibilidade é algo a ressalvar igualmente. Fui, repetirei e recomendo!

Apreciação
Gostamos imenso da propriedade. A casa é grande e ampla com tudo o que é necessário para uma estadia confortável. Possui uma vista deslumbrante para toda a propriedade e para o rio. Fomos muito bem recebidos pela D. Mena que se mostrou sempre disponível. Há também um pequeno restaurante a cerca de 3km, chamado Recanto D’Oliveira, no qual fizemos todas as refeições, devido à qualidade e simpatia do proprietário. Recomendo esta propriedade a todos que queiram uma estadia relaxante, rodeada pela natureza. Pretendemos lá voltar certamente é com mais tempo para melhor usufruir do espaço.
