Property smelled like marijuana. Stairs were so dirty. Glass was broke all over the are where you’re supposed to park. Very sketchy neighborhood. We did not trust our car to sit out there over night we had to leave and go get a hotel room for the night.

Starting with the initial contact through Vrbo, it was challenging to reach the host, requiring multiple attempts before receiving a response due to their notifications being off. Alarmingly, the property lacked any reviews, a concerning indicator from the start. Despite conducting a prior Google Maps search, the outdated photos didn't accurately represent the area, labeled as an "up and coming neighborhood." Upon arrival, it became evident that this characterization was inaccurate, with boarded-up buildings, cars on rims, and pedestrians occupying the streets. The host suggested parking alongside similarly compromised vehicles. Upon inspecting the room, the strong odor of marijuana and steep stairs raised further concerns, particularly for accommodating small children. Ultimately, prioritizing our family's safety, we opted to forfeit our reservation and secure alternate lodging. While the room itself was adequate, the surrounding conditions posed risks unsuitable for families. If traveling without children and willing to overlook security concerns, this property may suffice; however, it's not advisable for families seeking a safe environment.
