The Eco Villa was built in 1910 and has been beautifully renovated, keeping many original features and recycling or repurposing much of the timber. All rooms are different sizes and beds can be configured into superking or singles in most of the rooms to suit your group.
The whole house and garden is exclusively yours, we only host one group at a time.
We do have an onsite caretaker who lives in a cottage at the back of the property, you may see them coming and going from time to time and they are available for assistance but will otherwise leave you to enjoy the villa.

We are walking distance to the city (5-10 mins to the centre) and 20 minutes walk to the botanic gardens on the other side of the city. Everything is pretty accessible. There is a bus stop outside our property which takes you to New Brighton beach and we are a 10 min walk to the central bus depot. There is onsite carparking for 3-6 cars and free parking on the street outside.

Upstairs:
The Rimu (ensuite) - Super King bed

Downstairs
The Kauri (ensuite) - Double Bed
The Kahikatea (shared bathroom) - Double Bed
The Matai (shared bathroom) - 1 Super King plus 1 Single bed
All our Super king beds are able to be split into two single beds on request. The first two rooms are free of charge, any additional rooms are charged at $20 per room.
The Cedar and Oak rooms can also fit one rollaway bed each; and the Oak has an additional fold out couch (suitable for one adult only, or two children). We also have two cots available for guest use. Please note there is a $20 fee for any additional bedding to be set up.
Maximum number of guests included in the rate is 16, any additional guests are $50 per adult per night and $25 per child per night.
We don't host hens or stags or any other parties, however small low-key events may be permitted subject to management approval and a $100 event fee. Unauthorised parties will be stopped by our property manager and charges may apply for additional cleaning or damage incurrred.
No noise on the back deck area after 10pm. Please be mindful of our neighbours and our onsite manager who lives in a small cottage at the back of the garden.
The kitchen must be left tidy with all food removed from the fridges and scraps put into the green lidded rubbish bin. All rubbish/recycling to be placed in the red/yellow bins located in the front carpark. Failure to remove rubbish and leaving the kitchen and property in an untidy state may incur a $200 cleaning fee.
A $30 fee will be charged to clean the BBQ if it has been used and not cleaned.
As the booker you are responsible for ensuring ALL guests are aware of our house rules. There is a printed copy on the lectern in the downstairs hall.
