"Great value and really good location, very close to the market in district 1. We had a deluxe twin room, no window but we didn't spend much time in there. Would highly recommend the restaurant opposite, think it was called Huong - had a spectacular meal there. The market is mainly tourist tat and felt quite pressured from the stall owners."

"There was a little issue when we first got to the hotel. When I booked the room via hotels.com and the room was for up to 4 people so we thought as long as we booked that room then we can stayed up to 4 people since our sister will stay with us. When we checked in the hotel agent we been told that we could only allow up to 2 people while our hotel room reserved for 2 beds. "Au Lac Charner hotel is a gem of a find right in the heart of bustling Saigon. This French colonial hotel has beautiful decor and has maintained its traditional feel. "Nice hotel, right on Mekong River. Beautiful landscape. Quiet, peaceful and relaxing place. Quiet room, comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice swimming pool. No TV and safe box in room. Nothing around the hotel like restaurants, shopping, massage spas. Great place to relax if you have hectic traveling and busy life. "

"We have come to stay at this hotel many times over the years whenever we come to My Tho, it’s a GEM. Clean and very convenient location, well kept property, recently remodel. Very good and variety breakfast daily. An excellent place for dining too and plenty of options outside of the hotel. A five minutes walk to the market. I would recommend that they should install shower instead of bath to accommodate elderly and short people. However, everything else is perfect. Strongly recommend that you book the room with the river view for sunrise and sunset. It’s well worth the money."
